All of your post so far seem to be more about trying to piss if uk members than actually discuss the issue at hand.

It takes a special kind of nasty when you start to using dead kids to spread your hate.

He's right though, this is a #hole country with an epidemic of child sex abuse. It's better for all not to try and hide it, but rather to do something about it instead of going after people on social media who speak up about a crappy health care system with administrators playing God.

He views you as a “subject”

Just remember that as you defend him as he basically laughs in your face using a dead kid as the punch line.

I never said the uk was perfect, we have major problems in this country. However JBurns does not have any idea what he is talking about and his posts are deliberately antagonistic

That's because in this country we are 'subjects'. Our rights have been decimated. People are going to court over youtube videos and almost landing in jail. Innocent and law abiding people are being refused entry into the country because of their political beliefs. The police allow people with the 'wrong' political views to be beaten up in front of them. Children are systematically abused in their thousands and it's covered up. Police threaten the people if they speak out of turn.

I don't know why you are offended when this country is rightly called out for what it is becoming. JD Burns is wholly correct in one important sense. The men and women who died defending this country against evil would be ashamed.

This latest trend of the health service playing God is just another example of the #hole we live in.

I disagree with him in one respect, though. He may not realise that the silent majority in this country are slow to anger, but when it happens then watch out. I'd take one Brit with a real purpose over 10 of any other nation. It just takes us a while to get going.

So you confess at least one of those statements are true?

I'll save you the trouble: they're all true as it pertains to the UK.

You may not consider your country a socialist hell-hole, but it is one... well, QED.

I would be ashamed to live there, personally. Then again, we Americans were smart enough to give you folks the boot a few hundred years back
Almost like we knew your tyrannical ways were incompatible with a free people, or something of that nature.

Just ask Alfie or his parents how "free" they are. That's right, you can't ask Alfie anything because the UK "authorities" mandated his death.

Then again, why am I wasting my time here? You're no doubt one of those kind who believes abortion is anything except cold blooded murder. Go ahead, rail on about how this thread isn't about abortion or socialism. Any maybe not. But it sure as heck points out the extreme hypocrisy of the apologists here.

Despicable.

What did I confess are was true? Pretty sure what I said was you talking nonsense which doesn't really sound like a confession.

As already pointed out the UK isn't socialist. Oh and generally if you are going to use QED you need to demonstrate the point you are trying to make, otherwise it just shows that you don't know what it means.

You are just repeatedly demonstrating how little you actually know about this case or the UK generally.

Seeing as you were responding to ScepticScot with your post but chose to post it to me just shows how "irrelevant" YOUR post is, doesn't it!!

Sigh, do you enjoy making irrelevant points all day

Again, seeing as you haven't even taken the time to read the whole thread, it just shows how "irrelevant" your posts on this thread are.

If your child is ill, you have the *right* to seek care as you see fit? Even if a non-parent (like a doctor) disagrees?

If it's medically appropriate for the child and the childs needs, then Yes. If your actions has a detrimental effect on the childs health then No.

Surely you have the right to defend yourselves and your homes against intruders? With deadly force?

Yes, we have that right here too but we don't feel the need to hide behind a gun. Of course you will jump up and down shouting no, because you won't except anything but your ideas about British life like you always do.

How about privacy against "hacking" and other mass-surveillance?

I don't have the goverment knocking at my door if they think I'm being hacked, it would be nice they did would save me a fortune in virus and such software, also find any civilized country that doesn't have some kind of surveillance of it's people?

Surely you still have free speech? Don't you? Folks would *NEVER* be locked up for simple racial slurs/other speech you may find distasteful?

Yes, shock, horror, we have free speech here too. People aren't locked up here for speaking there minds. Promoting racial hatred isn't tolerated though (Britain seems more civilized than most of America) but most people get a fine. People were threatening to storm a children's hospital and the hospital had received death threats against it's staff.

What if you oppose a specific religion on religious grounds? The government/law enforcement would *never* infringe on your beliefs to protect someone else's "delicate feelings", right?

No, thats America that bans people from entering there country for being a certain colour or religion because of your "delicate feelings". We ban individuals for promoting religious hatred not whole nations.

Care to answer? Or will you run away with your tail between your legs as usual (in typical apologist fashion)

I answered your silly questions, I would never run and never have, especially from someone spreading hate and lies, it's usually you that runs away with your tail tucked firmly up your backside. ATS is about denying ignorance after all!!

One thing this thread does highlight is the way that the media in the US is brainwashing people on both sides of the political divide. And it appears to be working.

This priest was not allowed to attend Alfie's funeral, even though he was ministering to the little guy when he died.
(Be advised: Some photos of Alfie taken by Father Gabriele Brusco, are disturbing.)

From what I've read the doctors concerend; were havily into organ harvesting and this is what ,in all likleyhood, he was used for.

Thats why they would not allow the parents to see the child and it also explains why the cops are being used to kill the growing sentiment for a public inquiry.

It seems to 'fit together.'

Utter rubbish.
The level of ignorance and blind stupidity about the UK and its healthcare system on this thread is astonishing.

Is it really astonishing or is it just sadly predicable.

*Sigh* Sadly predictable, you're right. The morons will use any excuse to rant about how evil the NHS is. How many people went bankrupt last year because of healthcare costs? As we both know - zero.

...and provides no relief for a death-cult system that ensured a mere judge's order took the life of this helpless child.

I haven't seen anyone in the NHS worshipping death. Last time I used the NHS I had excellent treatment. As did my wife and my youngest daughter.

No system is perfect, but explain how it is a death cult. A death cult is a group of people who worship and pray for death. I have not seen that in the NHS. Please provide evidence to that statement you made.

Oh wait. You can't. Why? Because you are fed great big mouthfuls of the American MSM .

Nom nom nom nom!

We often disagree, just figured I'd post this for you. We are slow to anger and often we don't do anything until those 'hollow men' are at our doorstep.

It's too late then.

As for Alfie, I hope he rests in peace. I think personally it might be a bit much to say it was state sanctioned murder but then I don't have the evidence to say a trip to the Vatican would've killed him or caused undue suffering.

I know if it was my kid I would've insisted on keeping him alive, getting him to Rome.

I don't think it's a call anyone in this thread can make and at the end of the day medical staff have a duty to stop undue suffering, intentional or otherwise. It's their oath.

The NHS has done me well a few times, I can't imagine many members relished at the idea of pulling the life support.

It was a sad case...

Rip Alfie.

I've met somewhat cold people in the NHS but given the circumstances (I was glassed and stabbed) I can't blame them for acting distant.

I was drunk as # and she didn't know me from Adam, I can only imagine the long-term psychological damage that can be associated with the job if NHS members got too involved.

She was a genuine lady I might add, but was somewhat distant and understandably so. Grade A patch work though

I love the NHS.

Can you list a legitimate reason the NHS should be permitted to decide what care (outside the NHS) members of the public receive?

Self-determination matters. Allowing bureaucrats and government to decide life & death doesn't sit particularly well with me.

Happily.

It's called a duty of care. Fairly simple really.

It may have been the case that the family and third parties did not provide enough guarantees of support to convince those with the duty of care to decide it was a good move.

Make no mistake, this was not a government decision and when the courts made a decision the carers would've been involved.

This case never settled well with me either... For what its worth.
