it's kind of hard to claim that it's political when both sides would, like they usually do when it comes to anything in religion, interpret it to confirm their own preset conclusions about an issue.

You just made it political in your response. It's hard not to and maybe that's my point. Why should anything be in a prayer that could be deemed political coming from someone who is paid to represent us all?

To be honest it depends on when. A Democrat might be upset because it's calling for equal taxation if you carry it to the extreme for partisan crap reasons. Aren't they against fair tax rates that are the same for everyone? You could also read that as "balanced" meaning rich should be taxed more.
