An glaringly obvious one that I overlooked

On a Monday night (February 12th, 2018) episode of Tucker Carlson a democrat member of the House Intelligence committee said something interesting that almost everyone missed. Appearing on the show to joust with Tucker, HPSCI member Eric Swalwell stated: “the House Intel Committee has not interviewed a single witness in over a month”. [Video Here, quote @03:47] This statement is rather enlightening.

...

Now remember, throughout this time none of those prior agreed-upon FIVE witnesses (Strzok, Page, Priestap, Baker, Ohr) have been interviewed. Everyone’s attention shifted from witness testimony to the Memo; and as Democrat Eric Swalwell stated, no witness were interviewed. Period. [- key point].

So to summarize so far: during January all the DOJ documents arrived, the HPSCI (Nunes) memo was written, released, declassified and released to the public on February 2nd, 2018 – but no witnessed testified. [Nunes Memo – Link]

...

Let me remind everyone that each of the aforementioned names is still within the system. Unlike Mike Kortan, David Laufman, Sally Yates, James Rybicki or Andrew McCabe, none of the five (Strzok, Page, Ohr, Baker, Priestap) have been removed. Peter Strozok is in FBI HR; Lisa Page is doing something; Bruce Ohr and James Baker are holding down chairs somewhere; and Bill Priestap is still Asst. FBI Director in charge of counterintelligence.

...

Here’s what is becoming transparently obvious. The fab-five are cooperating with the investigative unit of the OIG. All five of them.

The text message release was strategic. It was intended to substantiate the entire enterprise, put the ‘small group on notice’ and flush out the co-conspirators. The downstream exits of Kortan, Laufman, Rybicki, McCabe et al are evidence therein.

Additionally, the OIG (Horowitz) would want to keep the testimony of Page, Strzok, Ohr, Baker and Priestap away from the Democrat politicians, well known leakers, within the House Intelligence Committee (ie. Eric Swalwell and Adam Schiff) until he was certain their usefulness as witnesses was exhausted.

...

As a person familiar with such specific investigative measures recently shared:

“They are sat down, told to not do anything, say anything or discuss anything UNTIL they get an attorney. At which time, the attorney is handed a letter from the investigating unit. That letter says in essence, this is how screwed you are. If you want to be less screwed you will sign this letter of cooperation and assist us. When we don’t need you, you sit there. When we do we will call you and you will provide what we need. Any deviation from this agreement lands you in jail for the full term.”

Additionally regarding Bruce and Nellie Ohr:

“The Republican memo states they turned over all their work and testified to someone that Bruce Ohr met with Christopher Steele and Steele was saying he didn’t want Trump in office. They didn’t testify to a Congressional committee, so it had to be the IG.”

Someone’s Doing The DOJ and FBI Interrogations and It’s Not Congress…

But I'm sure you will deny the evidence presented herein and instead cling to your little snow globe of delusion.

Oops...
Maybe they mean 48 hours. Or 72 hours.

They realized how much classified material there is.

Guess that puts Strzok & Page in a hard place eh.

The text files were actually released to the SD. Congress gets 'em soon enough to fuel the firestorm of corruption.

Thankyou x1000 for that article! It didn't make any sense to me why the Congressional committees were duplicating what the Inspector General was already doing. Now I see that they're actually working together. Good to see that there is a coordinated plan, and mission being accomplished.

And why is the State Department involved?

That is a very good question.
Neither of those 2 worked for the state department, did they?

No, but the House Intelligence Committee is investigating former Secretary of State John Kerry for his role in the overall FISA Abuse scandal. Strzok could have been Kerry's FBI contact.

That is what Nunes/DeSantis hinted at last night when describing that the text messages were at the State Department for scrubbing.

They didn't seem to be too worried about it though. Probably because the Inspector General has already seen the originals, for use in his mega upcoming report.

From your link:

The messages were transmitted to lawmakers three months after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced that his office had recovered communications between Strzok and Page over the period between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.

The committees that have received the messages from the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General include the House Judiciary Committee the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

The IG has already interviewed Strzok, Page and all the others. Considering that they are still employees of the federal government, and have been shown to have committed significant violations of federal law leads the the conclusion that they are indeed part of IG Horowitz's and AG Huber's activities.

There was no punishment that I can find.

Strzok's colleagues and a former Trump administration official said that Strzok had never shown any political bias.[4][38] An associate of his says the political parts of the text messages were especially related to Trump's criticism of the FBI's investigation of the Clinton emails.[4] According to FBI guidelines, agents are allowed to have and express political opinions as individuals. Former FBI and DOJ officials told The Hill that it was not uncommon for agents like Strzok to hold political opinions and still conduct an impartial investigation.[47] Several agents asserted that Mueller had removed Strzok to protect the integrity of the special counsel's Russia investigation.[48] Strzok was not punished following his reassignment

He wasn't demoted no matter the political consequences of what did happen.
I believe it was decided that an FBI employee is allowed an opinion.

PS you still can't make a point without getting nasty I see. I'll go back to ignoring you again.

When the issue arose, Strzok was taken off the Mueller team in late July, and he was given a job in the human resources division of the FBI — widely viewed internally as a demotion, according to people familiar with the matter.

You know why you won't find anything about what the consequences he is facing are just now?

It's because he is a cooperating witness to IG Horowitz most likely in conjunction with AG Huber.

That's why they're quiet, they know better than to talk outside of prescribed situations.

The FBI declined to comment.

The Post repeatedly sought comment from Strzok and Page but got no response.

Just hang on a little while longer, darlin', the IG report will clear all this up.
