The boy refuses to die, yet they were trying to deny him nutrients even. A perfectly healthy child would die from being starved, so if he dies as a result of that, they will have starved him to death, not allowed his mystery illness to take his life.

A perfectly healthy child would sit up and eat and drink, listening to 3rd removed news articles and believing it proves one thing, I dont need to tell you what it is.

They offered to give a second opinion at a world renowned children's hospital. Why would the British government deny this child a second opinion? If worse case scenario they can do nothing at least his loved ones know they tried everything they could to save thier son.

Not sure where you got this from, but the case for Christian Legal Centre was thrown out as it had been made up. None of their claims of the health of Alfie were correct, they lied about his breathing ability and lied about the treatment on offer in Italy.

The decision is nothing to do with the government, I have no idea why people seem to think the government have a say in Court cases. The hospital could only provide palliative care, which is what he's already receiving in Alder Hey in a eorld class hospital. Moving him provides no benefit and there's no way of moving him without causing unnecessary suffering.

The British government haven't denied him anything.

Multiple courts listening to the advice of multiple doctors who have examined him have decided further treatment is not in his best interest.



ETA: Doctors from Bambino hospital have already examined him and agreed that no further treatment is possible.

Life support systems get turned off all the time. Unless you want to legalise euthanasia then what alternative are you offering?

The hospital (the people who have actually treated him and who aren't 4,000 miles away) will manage the withdrawal of treatment to prevent suffering.

He's not starving to death and will not starve to death. His brain is dead, his ability to breathe has been greatly exaggerratred, he'll pass within 24 - 48 hours of life support being removed.

Listen to yourself. You're supporting the ongoing torture of a child by artificially keeping them alive when there's absolutely no hope of treatment or cure or alleviatrion of symptoms other than pumping full of painkillers - which cause more seizures due to lowering the seizure threshold.

See? There's no good answers in a tragedy like this. Whatever choices are made, he will die, so why not allow it to go peacefully.

If he is being fed through a tube and is to all. Intents brain dead then yes it is life support.

There is an italian hospital who apparently wishes to help. Instead of refusing and starving him to death under the absurd and misguided notion that its going to ease his sufferimg.....why not allow the parents to take their child to seek treatment?

Im not sure what unnerves me more: this smug psychopathic behavior from the UK government or the popular support it seems to be garnering. Im jist not accustomed to parents being shoved out of the way by government authority like that.

I hate to say it but nothing short of a revolution will change the downward spiral of the UK. They have embraced the very worst practices of communist regimes while giving lip service to freedom and liberty which anyone can see through. When governments become this overbearing it becomes a matter of survival for the people to rid themselves of it. we need full and complete government reform , we need to move away from the constitutional monarchy
the royal family need to step down from their political over throne and we need to write a new constitution of the UK
which protects the people and the planet , before profit is even considered.

this isnt a democracy , when unelected lords control our legislation which serves their own interests and those of their rich corporate friends.
Our government just afford themselves wage rises often on a whim when the public suffer poverty, pay caps, food banks and inflation!
We are told we are benefit cheats, whilst huge mega corps get away with billions.
we are divided along political lines, simply for point scoring and assigning ourselves to whichever brand of party politics bollocks thats fresh!
We are told immigrants are taking our jobs here to alter our cultural identity.
Our taxes go towards illegal conflicts overseas and put more pressure on our small island nations and the suffering continues!


Anyone who actually thinks this is civilisation is deluded , anyone still buying into this absolute bull# should really take a time out and have some well needed self reflection. This isnt democracy , this isnt civilised, we arent the pinnacle of human achievement.
