This reinforces the notion that Flynn falling on his sword was to be "on the record" versus just talking. Folks don't know how important the "on the record" distinction is to these folks, as seasoned court visitors will attest: "say nothing unless it is on the record - ever."

Maybe it would be best if they do expose the FBI and then disband it entirely and simply move DHS over to take its place while cleaning house on both.

I understand that DHS is not something anyone sympathizes with here, but what I am talking about does two things:

1. It allows for the full story on this to come out which would destroy public trust in the FBI of necessity.

2. It removes one alphabet and replaces it with another that really has a parallel mission anyhow.
