Happening right now in England - lots of lightning strikes

www.lightningmaps.org...=sat;r=0;t=3;s=0;o=0;b=;n=0;y=49.9894;x=0.3458;z=8;d=2;dl=2;dc=0;

Always seems to happen this time of year.

Yup. Surface air is warming up.

Thursday was the hottest April day for nearly 70 years and yesterday temperatures reached highs of 28C (82F) in the South East, the Met Office said.

check this out:

It ticks everytime a lightning strike hits (worldwide). Pretty cool, you can also see the tracking stations.

The ticks don't seem to be in sync with the visual.

In any case, Thor is an angry god.

He's really pissed at England and France.

I guess he has reasons to punish two of the usual suspects... thinking of false flag attacks, illegal raids on sovereign states, according to international law.

He thought:
If nobody punishes the "good ones", then i`ll have to do it!

And of course they completely missed where I live I had been watching them develops where the storms were forming over NW/Northern France hoping they would come up my way. I'm just east of London didn't have a single rumble of thunder. In a way I'm quite glad though as I haven't got my camera with me at the minute. Summer round the corner though I'm sure I'll get my fair share of storms at some point this year

I'm not sure what part of England you're from, but i haven't seen lightening this good (or last this long) for years in England. It's been nothing short of spectacular tonight ⚡

Yes, they are out of sync. It takes time from the moment the different stations report the data and then an average delay is calculated. There is a label showing how much seconds, normally it´s around 1.5seconds, although, maybe thanks to me, page load seems very high currently.

The tick is spawned instantly and then the detectors information comes in, plotting the location after figuring out the distances and also what strike it detected.

I'm somewhere between Portsmouth and Southampton and had an amazing light show last night.

Seems Germany is getting hammered right now.

en.blitzortung.org...

When I enable detectors, it looks like the results of CERN particle accelerator experiment. The funny thing is that while a lightning strike is strong enough in intensity to trigger detectors in far north Norway, it doesn't activate all of them within a particular radius.

There is a stormcell building up (hehe) right next to me in south germany. It´s not yet visible on blitzortung but on meteopool

Edit: There are some stormchasers out there right now, that´s freaking awesome. Currently trying to get a live feed....
