I don't really care what colors people wear for the most part but I do get very tired of all the pink during breast cancer awareness.
Like it actually helps...

Lol I live near a lot of military. I see camo everywhere. I saw blue once and thought where is he hiding? In the ocean?

I know, right? Like color coding any cause actually does anything useful. I know the argument is it gets attention/raises awareness, but I don't see how. Kind of like charity runs. If the goal is money, it seems a waste of time to run instead of just donate & be done with it. In color coding causes, it comes off as "Look at me looking all garish for this particular cancer/disease!" Ok then. Bye now.

Considering my mom is currently in the process of regrowing her hair after having just completed her run of treatment for breast cancer, I can't get more aware, but the pink overload in October does go overboard.

Too much pink is like too much talk. I think all us ladies know we can get bad lumps in our boobs by now.

Never, ever liked pink.

I can barely support a bright red, but I have the skin tone that does best with cool shades like blue, dark green, purple, etc.

I also like black and gray.

My son, for some unknown reason, has the skin tone that will support hot color shades. He loves bright, bright orange ... and he looks good in it.

I just don't like the color pink. I don't like it when guys wear it either.

Does that make it clear enough for you? This has nothing to do with it being a girl/guy thing and everything to do with me not liking the color. Of course, it doesn't help that as a woman myself, there is the implicit societal idea that I should inherently like it for some reason.

Couldn't tell ya. I'm more of a coral or salmon pink fan myself. Dusty Rose even.

I would venture to say it started more than 15 years ago. I wasn't alive in the 80's but I've seen my fare share of my families old pink fashion pieces...... and.... hair damage routines. *shudders*

I have no problem with pink, it's the specific electric or bubblegum pink that seems to glow in the dark. I just looked and I think it is actually called neon pink.

Since I can't add images (WTF is that box that shows up when you click the image icon. Makes NO sense... You can't paste anything or right click into it, or drag anything into it. All it has is a close X in it..)
