Bob Mueller issued a rare statement today, essentially saying that the Mainstream News Outlets are composed of reporters and editors who lack journalism skills. They just go with whatever rumor sounds the most sensational, or Anti-Trump, or Anti-USA.

An interesting release from the spokesperson for Robert Mueller comes against the backdrop of the renewed ‘Michael Cohen travel to Prague’ story being pushed by Fusion-GPS and Glenn Simpson.

Water is wet and the sky is blue. The media is trying to make this investigation as exciting as the OJ Simpson police chase, because ratings and unsurprisingly, that’s not possible.

People have a better chance of getting factual up-to-date news from watching old reruns of Gunsmoke than anything that is currently being televised today.

Is the Washington Times your only source?

Because four days ago they announced--

"Obama announces bid to become U.S. Attorney General" lol, a complete fabrication.

Follow the link below to a list of items they have written this month which were untruths, or contained very little truth.

This publication was started by Sun Moon. Reverend Sun Moon. (I didn't know that, thought it was interesting.)

Not saying there isn't a shred of truth to it, but since the source you listed is so biased, and known for fabrications, I thought there might be a more credible publication you could use to back it up.

The report appeared to confirm one of the infamous Trump-Russia dossier’s key allegations: that Cohen met in Prague with a Kremlin official about Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. The development would be significant because Cohen has adamantly denied making the Prague trip.

But three days later, no other news outlet has confirmed the report, and there are reasons to be skeptical.

A spokesperson for the special counsel’s office wouldn’t comment on the Cohen-Prague story specifically, but told The Daily Caller News Foundation that “many stories” about the Russia investigation have been “inaccurate.”

“What I have been telling all reporters is that many stories about our investigation have been inaccurate. Be very cautious about any source that claims to have knowledge about our investigation and dig deep into what they claim before reporting on it,” the spokesperson said. “If another outlet reports something, don’t run with it unless you have your own sourcing to back it up.”

The scoop on these two who are trying to push the same garbage?

On at least three other occasions, Stone and Gordon have reported similarly explosive — but thinly-sourced — Trump-Russia stories that have failed to live up to the hype. All four stories cited the same sourcing: “two sources familiar” with the matters.

...

Gordon told TheDCNF he and Stone stand by their reports on NRA-Russia ties and investigations into Breitbart and Infowars. To date, no other news organization has confirmed those reports.

This was not a "rare statement from Bob Mueller". It was clearly the spokesperson talking, as it literally says.

“What I have been telling all reporters is that many stories about our investigation have been inaccurate,” the Mueller spokesperson said.

You all that cry "fake news" all the time rarely ever actually represent an article based on what was written. A spokesperson was making a general comment about all journalist, it becomes "A RARE STATEMENT FROM BOB MUELLER". Clearly the spokesperson was referring to journalists in general, but it becomes "They just go with whatever rumor sounds the most sensational, or Anti-Trump, or Anti-USA".

We could keep going down the rabbit hole, such as you sticking "Anti-Trump" and "Anti-USA" right next to each other, suggesting not agreeing with Trump is "Anti-USA", and I'm assuming it'll be defended as "but he's our president!".

The amount of mental gymnastics here is tiring sometimes.

Without all the spin, the spokesperson is right. Fox does crap journalistic work. CNN does crap journalistic work. Most of the time, there's no conspiracy and it's not about brainwashing you.

It's much simpler than that. Being "first" to crack a story makes money, so all of these media outlets hear a rumor and instead of researching it or sitting on it for a bit, it needs to be released now, without proper fact checking. They have to be "first!". The more potential drama, the quicker it gets pushed out the door. Riling people up makes them rich, and hell, they can always quietly issue a correction. That no one will see because no one *really* cares.

You can see this, unfortunately, when there's an event where multiple people die. Fox, CNN and virtually everyone else will start tweeting "Over 50 dead!". Few minutes later, "32 Dead in ...", and then a couple days later "10 people died in ...". This happens all the time, regardless of media outlet.

I'm quite sick of it, just as much as anyone else. They should do their damn jobs. Judging whether a journalist is good or bad based on if they're liberal or not is just stupid.

That is not what he said, essentially.

Here is exactly what he said:

“What I have been telling all reporters is that many stories about our investigation have been inaccurate,” the Mueller spokesperson said. “Be very cautious about any source that claims to have knowledge about our investigation and dig deep into what they claim before reporting on it. If another outlet reports something, don’t run with it unless you have your own sourcing to back it up.”

I'm sure there were nut jobs saying that. There's nut jobs that say *anything* you could possibly come up with. That's not the majority. Don't listen to nut jobs. It makes life (seem) so much saner.

You're right it does. That's why I don't listen to Democrat pols, CNN, MSNBC, et al. They're the ones who bring on commentary that says stuff like it.

Found this today. www.nytimes.com...

The late fight at Pine Bluff occurred on Sunday morning, the 25th ult., about 8 o'clock. The rebels attempted a surprise on Col. CLAYTON, by 4,000 rebel cavalry. The troops were commanded by Gens. MARMADUKE....

Actual history has Confederate forces as around 2000 and union forces as 700+ 300 freed slaves+ local union aligned militia. Total around 1500 troops.

The New York Times has been fabricating news even way back in 1863.

According to the Times stated over 2000 Confed. casualties when actually only around 40 or so. Same with Union forces.

The NYT has been fabricating news a long time now.
