Oh the Irony! Liberal starbucks, beacon for all that are against anything "traditional".
A friend once told me that most people are their own worst enemies, and it seems that applies to a lot of businesses.

Not paying the WAPO a dollar for anything. Try again with a non pay site.

Equally crappy site, but at least it’s free.

Seriously, out of 350 million plus people in this country we sure do go out of our way to find one incident to be offended by. I am so glad I don’t worry about everything like some of these people. It would make life miserable.

Bit weird to me taking a seat but not ordering anything, but equally bit weird calling the cops because they didn't.
Not my country though so I couldn't really comment, I just know in my local Starbucks if they'd been hanging around for ages without ordering anything someone would have said "Hiya lads what can I get you" or something. How they reacted to that would depend on police involvement or not.

A) isn’t there supposed to be a liberal bias where the media only reports acts of racism by republicans???!?!?

B) so was it like the owner or some bigwig CEO type who tried to kicked them out?

Or was it almost certainly a 12$ an hour manager acting of his own will???

Ya gotta love these propaganda stories...

Isn’t there even a logical fallacy with its own funny little Latin name, for when someone pretends the actions of an individual are the fault of some large group????

Lol..

Too bad we no longer have logic and rhetoric in schools..

For centruries logic and rhetoric was the center piece of ANY education...

Now people just fall for whatever nonsense they hear..

It is sad..

All this story does is remind me that I like my coffee how I like my women...

...ground up and in the freezer.

According to later reports, they came in and took a seat while quietly waiting for a friend to arrive.

Done it myself at many a Starbucks and never a word of protest from the baristas. If they weren’t busy, I might get asked if they could start a drink for me, but when I tell them I’m waiting for a friend, it’s all smiles and “Let me know if I can help”’s.

Of course I’m in California.

And I’m white.

It wasn't long ago that there was something called "Common Courtesy". If you needed to use facilities that a business provides, like a restroom at a gas station, or waiting at a coffee shop for a friend, it was customary to AT LEAST make a "token" purchase at the establishment that provides those facilities.

Starbucks is learning a valuable lesson at the moment. Be careful of the politics you support, sometimes it can come back to bite you in the a$$.

Just typical #^%$*^ progressives. They talk big about equality and such but just see a bunch of ign'ut negros. This video is perfectly illustritive.

And, DAMMIT, no following that common courtesy is reason for being arrested.

Especially if you one of them colored folk.

Right? I mean, that's what you're saying, yeah?

I was once thrown out of our local Starbucks simply because the teenagers running the night shift decided I was worthy of making up lies about because word had spread that I was Schizophrenic.

Just the thought of a freak being in their clubhouse offended them.

I was escorted off the premises by an Officer and that was the end of it.

No blaring news piece about mistreatment of the Mentally Ill.

We don't count, OBVIOUSLY.

I was just sitting in the corner working on my screenplays.

They claimed I threatened to blow the place up.

Seriously?

For real?

Even the Officer knew they were brats, but policy is policy and I had no leg to stand on.

So it goes....so it goes.

It's too "scene" for me.

Once in a rare moon I'll pop in for a special treat, but it's pretentious being there in my opinion.

Just not my crowd.

I do like one of their off menu drinks though.

But I always feel out of place.

I know they're a tolerant company, I used to work at that location I mentioned.

Just sometimes in the hiring process they hire assholes who know how to hide it around their superiors.

Once they get to a position of power, the asshole comes out full force and they abuse their power on their own reconnaissance, effectively overriding Company Policy in favor of their own personal prejudices.
