Come on GUT, with all due respect, when are you guys going to start blaming Trump for his own actions and stop justifying him saying it’s the deep state who made him do it.
He is responsible for his own actions!
He’s not a child, at least in numerical age
Because they all lie to him and that's the only "intel" he gets. Looks like maybe he played it right in spite of.
I'ma be watching him though don't worry.
According to stories in the press (of course, we can’t rely on that) but Trump wanted to do more but Mattis, one who knows what war really is, wanted to temper the response.

It would not surprise me inthe least even if Russia retaliated it would be kept hush hush.

I have a feeling that a new set of Russian weapons will be put onto the front lines and into the show rooms.
I think we gave them enough reason to arm themselves and ALL of our enemies well into the future.
This "Victory?"....seems dumb IMO. We lose this way.
A series of explosions have been seen in Damascus,
Reuters reported, citing their own witnesses. Images
have started to emerge on social media, apparently
showing Syrian air defense systems responding to
incoming strikes.
A district of Damascus, which houses a scientific research facility,
was targeted by strikes carried out by the US, France and Britain,
with several large blasts and smoke rising from the eastern side
of the capital, witnesses say.
According to reports, the US-led attacks hit a research facility
located in the capital's Barzeh District. Syrian state media said
that the air strikes targeted Damascus and surrounding areas.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford said the
US strikes targeted a research facility, as well as a "chemical
weapons storage facility" near Homs. He said the naval and air
forces were involved in the strikes, but would not elaborate
"for reasons of operational security."
