I would like to see what congressmen signed off on this military action.

Sounds like some article was invoked, so that the Commander In Chief could call for this strike.

The only confirmation I've heard is that B-1s are involved. They just rotated a B-1 unit into the area a few days ago.

Thanks for that update. Will this be a prolonged operation or just a quick surgical strike?

Well so far I am not seeing much action at all on the live syrian news. So it must be a surgical strike of some kind.

No big explosions at all yet.

When Russia retaliates, how long do you think it will take until the tactical nukes are unleashed. Then the Trump supporters will have their big explosions.

Trump supporters?

I think you need to look again at who is cheering hard for ww3.

It’s the party of peace, the Democratic Party s, and their establishment neocon friends.

As far as I am concerned trump is a scumbag for these strikes

Show me proof Assad did it, or else he is just another stooge for the warmongers

Any of them that signed off on us cooperating with the UN. This strike was to enforce UN resolutions.

When are some of you going to realize you were sold a pack of lies with Trump?

Everyone said with "Hillary we would be at war in syria, no more war, Trump wants to pull out!"

And here we are less than two years later and Trump has held up the status quo of war......................

ARE you DONE YET??????? Whats it gonna take?

So you believe assad gassed his own people.

For what reason would he do that , do you think?

For 1, he has russia and Iran behind him. or at least russia.

They can't control this BS?!

It's a failed state or they are complicit.

Some states just need bombing.

Assad could gas more women & children and say that the US/UK did it.

or the US and CIA can gas more women and children and say it was Assad... because he has a lot to gain by doing so exactly weeks after Trump ordered a withdrawal from Syria. i guess Assad is living in bizzaro land... or maybe the average American citizen

I doubt Russia will retaliate.
TheRedneck

I doubt it as well. Russia did not retaliate, at least officially, against Turkey when Turkey shot down their fighter jet.

We didn't destroy any cities. Our departure from Syria can proceed on schedule. Only war-mongers and people who want to police the world would want us to stay.

they train and arm rebels.
They put their people on the ground while saying that they haven’t got any people on the ground.
Then they get the rebels (mercenaries) to attack the regime of Assad At this point no-one says a word – no government reaction, no media reaction. Then, the Assad regime will respond to that attack, at which point trigger everybody – microphones everywhere.

Media, off you go....“He’s killing his own people!” We (NATO) have to go in, to protect the people from violence. And they bomb the crap out of the place, slaughter masses of people, destroy cities.
What we’re looking at here is not protecting civilians, just as it never was protecting civilians in Libya, but is an effort to make sure this so-called rebellion removes the Assad regime so that another country goes on the list.
Control the oil and the semi-independent banking system.

That’s right

I supported trump and still do for other reason

But that’s makes me want to hold him more accountable

This is bs

I am tired of these regime change wars

It’s disgusting and shameful, and every person ineterested in truth and peace should reject in the strongest terms starting wars without publicly available proof

I will not let it slide because it’s my team

Really, look who Trump has surrounded himself with, neocon war hawks like bolton and Mattis.

www.nytimes.com...

I think this was just a trial run up to Iran. Trump and Bolton will have their war.

Trumps delusional!

Just like May and the rest of them involved.

Countries skint, 300,000 homeless people, NHS on its arse, but we can afford the smart bombs/missiles to destroy people 1000s of miles distant???

The mind simply boggles.
