The OIG report on Andrew McCabe has been released. It's 39 pages. Here in PDF.

I haven't read it yet but the highlights seem to be that McCabe "lacked candor" on 4 occasions, including in conversation with Comey in regards to disclosure of information to the WSJ about the Clinton email investigation.

Also, it appears that he was recused from the 2nd email investigation at Comey's behest.

ETA:

Here's the excerpt about the recusal from the 2nd investigation (Weiner laptop):

Accounts differ about the reason for excluding McCabe from the October 27 call. McCabe told the OIG that the reason stated on the call for dropping him related to the potential for discussion about classified information. However, Comey, [redacted], and and [sic - no proof reading?] Special Counsel all told us that Comey asked McCabe to leave the call out of an abundance of caution because of appearance issues following revelations in the WSJ October 23 article about the campaign donations from McAuliffe-associated PACs to McCabe’s wife. McCabe discussed the issue of his participation in the Clinton e-mail matter further with Comey and FBI-GC by telephone later that day. After these conversations, McCabe sent a text message to

Special Counsel stating: “I spoke to both. Both understand that no decision on recusal will be made until I return and weigh in.”

On November 1, 2016, McCabe sent e-mails to FBI executives and officials overseeing the CF Investigation and the Clinton E-mail Investigation informing them that he was recusing himself from those investigations.

Hahaha!

Yep mcacbes a standup guy!

Remember all of those Dems lamenting his firing offering him money and jobs? But remember anyone critical of anyone in the fbi is anti law enforcement and hurting our country! Just ask the msm.

And funny McCabe was not recused from the trump investigation despite his wifes connections to the Clintons, even to the surprise of trump hateing agent struck

But I am sure everything was on the up and up in that case!

What a joke!

People are more concerned with adultery than corruption at the highest levels of the fbi.

Oh and let’s ask Flynn and papadopolous what is the penalty for lying to the doj?

Oh I forgot, as mills and abedin showed, lying to investigators is only charged if its someone connected to trump

How do you get a refund of the money sent to the Andy McCabe defense fund?

Funny how you apply those standards of honesty.

ETA

Or to corruption. Because McCabe got caught trying to deny that he leaked info to the WSJ (or authorized it) to make himself look better, that's proof that he did something untoward re the Trump investigation and also proof of "corruption at the highest levels of the FBI."

Well apparently that corruption didn't extend to the much maligned Comey who made him recuse himself from the 2nd email investigation.

But really what I don't understand is how you don't connect lying to corruption and declare sarcastically that Trump and half his admin "sure are stand up guys!" and go off about corruption at the highest levels of the Executive Branch.

Maybe. But Lack of Candor is a legal term that is not the same as lying.

To begin with, lack of candor and falsification are distinct charges. Falsification “involves an affirmative misrepresentation and requires intent to deceive,” lack of candor, by contrast, “is a broader and more flexible concept whose contours and elements depend on the particular context and conduct involved.”

For example, lack of candor need not involve an affirmative misrepresentation, but “may involve a failure to disclose something that, in the circumstances, should have been disclosed to make the statement accurate and complete.”

The penalty for Lack of Candor is dismissal.

Yes it must be strange to see someone who wants investigators to be impartial and for people on all sides to be held to the same legal standard

I know that seems weird to your crowd that thinks Dems can commit crimes with no consequences but any trump person who does the same thing must be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

As expected, the report is coming out in stages. I wonder who will be the next person put under the hot light?

The people who can kick in your door, shoot your dog, drop a flashbang grenade in your baby's crib, bankrupt you, put you in prison, make you an unemployable felon, make your whole family lay in the snow in a prone position, etc, etc, etc...damned well better be as pure as the driven snow. Or We The People have no use for them.

As Mccabe "lacked candor"(lied to fbi agents) and lied under oath should he not charged and treated the same as those recently charged with "lying to the fbi"?
Or is justice not equal?

The report shows that McCabe wasn't forthcoming about disclosures to Devlin Barrett that were clearly intended to improve McCabe's image.

What seems weird to me is that your crowd doesn't care about lying when it comes to Trump and his people but somehow "Lyin' Ted" and "Lyin' Comey" and the like plays to the same people. I've got absolutely no issue with McCabe being held to account for lying to the DOJ IG, Comey, etc.

But how ironic is that the most dishonest person in Washington DC, Donald Trump, is tweeting "LIED! LIED! LIED!" about somebody else and his base will suck it up.

Do you really not see the hypocrisy?

Curious...is this thread about DJT's honesty or McCabe's IG report that has been long awaited?

When you have nothing else to say, you resort to whataboutism and ad homs of "hypocrite"? Lame, man.

How about discussing this topic honestly, instead of pointing to Trump and jumping up and down screaming.

Sure Comey had him revise himself from the Hillary investigation, Comey sounds like a good guy!

Oh what’s that, he didn’t ask him to recuse himself from the trump investigation? Strange isn’t that?

But I guess he didn’t need McCabe on the Hillary investigation seeing as how he proclaimed Hillary months before he even interviewed her and maid up a part of the law for intent that wasn’t there.

As far as trumps team, yeah I have called out dirty people there. But what’s the big crime so far, paying a porn star with campaign money? Please.

No we have had a nonstop investigation and coverage of trump colluded my with Russians, which has shown no evidence, and meanwhile the very people that use to criticize the deep state are now cheering them on with no evidence.

And now we find out McCabe was so dirty that Comey didn’t want him in the Hillary investigation, but was fine having my him look on to trump, in addition to all of the other shadiness with the teo investigations

But no need to look here! We must trust the intel agencies, we need to spy on trump people, investigate him nonstop, bomb Syria, fight with Russia, and if you ask to see proof or question it you are unamerican!

Oh and the fbi is still too busy to look at the server that started all of this.

But back to important pornstar banging business!

How about the guy who signs every bill passed by Congress into law? The guy who can launch tomahawk missiles because he feels like it? The guy who is in charge of foreign and domestic policy? They guy who can pardon his friends.

Or how about the fact that Trump just pardoned the guy who outed a CIA agent to the media for telling the truth about a lie used to manufacture consent for a war?

Perspective.
