LOL, ok Phage.

Sessions doesn't work in the Trump Administration as an employee of the president.

Good. That case was an abortion of justice. It gave us the precedent that a man can be prosecuted, and imprisoned for a long time because of a supposed inconsistency of testimony in a case where it is admitted that there was no crime or victim.

AKA Multiple witnesses in the Grand Jury said Scooter Libby intentionally exposed an undercover CIA Agent as payback for providing intelligence that disputed the false claim being sold by Cheney of Iraq having an active WMD program.

Trump just pardoned one of the team that led us into the Iraq war on false premises and who nearly cost an undercover CIA Operatives life to do so.

It was Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage who exposed the CIA Agent.

Aside from the fact that libby was not the leaker, libby paid a large fine and did real jail time.
So trump pardoned someone who the fbi prosecuted for lying to them.
Think the fbi will prosecute ALL who lie to them?

Still Breaking:

Observers see it as a call to folks that might cooperate with Mueller that Trump will save them if they get caught lying.

Observers see this as a call to Hillary to come clean and he will save her... see how that works?

They will, especially in fishing expeditions.

C'mon. Seriously. How could one NOT pardon a dude with the name "Scooter"?

Could be wrong, but pretty sure GW gave him that Moniker.

I am getting old enough where people don't get the GW references anymore.

For the younger crowd, he loved his plain talk. It was endearing, but also spoke to a frightening gullibility at times, more so with hawkish Machiavellian intellects like Cheney and Rumsfeld at his side.

Trump Pardons Scooter Libby

The whole presidential pardon thing is a bit iffy to me, but in the light of both traitors, violent criminals, and felons with direct ties to presidents receiving such pardons, it is hard to object to this one.

I do see how it can be seen as a signal, but that is very much an interpretation - and to be honest, Trump could send that signal in other ways, if that was a signal he wanted to send.
