Personally I only see reasons for the US and Russia to do it while on their playground Syria.

My initial thought was deep state America to stay and/or Russia to either call a bluff of the US pulling out, or to keep them there spending money and losing the populace faith.

Saying chemical weapons came from Porton Down is a red flag considering PD was involved with the russia using wmds to try to kill a russian citizen in the UK.

There are no US "chemical weapons officers" in anyone's custody in Syria.

So Russia is admitting now that there was a chemical attack after blatantly saying there was not.
They are with some dubious sources claiming the UK is responsible or the USA or Israel.

As far as i heard he said just that and invited investigators in to look at the evidence.

They are saying that the chemical attack was staged, seems simple enough to me. They are not saying that there was no attack at all. People injured or killed were not suffering from a chemical attack. They say they have found no evidence that chemicals were involved. Make of it what you will.
