A Pennsylvania school district is arming its roughly 500 teachers with 16-inch baseball bats in an effort to boost security in the wake of the Parkland school shooting.

One of those 3 solutions would actually improve the situations tremendously and make students safer against ruiners of family photos that go off the rails...

Only 50.0001% of America needs to "buy it," man... obviously there will be those against it, that's to be expected. The beauty of democracy is that an issue like this only needs a simple majority to fix the problem properly.

Here's the thing, it is no longer the case that only bad guys have guns in "no gun" zones. There is a growing number of smart, discrete, and quiet good people now using common sense and saying "Uh, yeah... you can shove your gun free zone" and doing what they need to do to keep themselves and their families safe. That is as it should be, really. The law doesn't overrule natural rights, which self preservation is most certainly one of. So we can either do this the legal way with some oversight, or we can continue to have a growing number of responsible folks operating under a shroud of total secrecy with no oversight.

I'll play for the hell of it... why hasn't anyone proposed teachers with tazers? They're non-lethal, and would certainly be more effective than rocks or bats.

i had a thread about that very thing not too long ago after running into my brother in the DMV. he was carrying.

apparently it is common knowledge among concealed carry people that they carry whenever they can. even in the no gun zones.
thats fine.

but the tried ass argument of only the bad guys will have them and if the good guys did they would save the day really dont hold water given that revelation.
