I am a disabled vet and won't comment about your feelings regarding disabled veterans except to say that I'm from a place where pot is legal and I can't smoke it because the Federal Govt says it isn't and my VA doctor said if I used it I would be taken off my medication.Unfortunately for me, pot doesn't help it. It did give me a better attitude though.

No attitude man. Im jist observing that for Mr Boehner, he was not concerned for me and my neighbors. His mind was only changed when it was vets.

He sees you as "more equal" than me as evidenced by his own words. Not sure why it would upset you.

I have (so far via 7 Specialists) inoperable back/neck injuries and am prescribed opiates. I exercise daily; eat right; Meditate and do both Yoga and TaiChi. I've been prescribed 2 opiates for 14 years in May. When I was retired I was on 7 RX meds. 2 for Hypertension; PTSD; High Cholesterol and Ambien™ Bad Medicine. Then I had an "Epiphany" and started using Cannabis medicinally. I'm on the same dose as when I started and don't take the other medication at all.

I was going to ask about Your VA™ Dr. but didn't want to violate Your HIPPA™ Laws. (thats personal #) on what they thought.. But they are on BigPHarma™'s teat

My job is to fire people. I had to make a trip to Cali to interview a regional manager for a few reasons. When I walked in the door of his office he wasn’t there. So I grabbed a room for the night. The next day I went in and he was there but sweating bullets. Almost like someone that is super hung over. I didn’t smell any alcohol or anything for that matter. His pupils were massive though. So I had my “interview” with him and all went normal but the pupils got me thinking there was something here that doesn’t add up. I have every right to search his office whenever I want but I am not that dude. Instead I had a “random” drug test for everyone working under his command. Many failed due to who knows what thank you HIPAA laws. But after he also failed I was in his office watching him gather his things and a bag of meth was in his drawer. I told him that that I could ruin his life if I decide to call the police. I didn’t do that but In return he had to flush it. He did and I certainly hope that experience helped changed his ways. Odd story but I thought I would share

I had a guy that was mowing His lawn at 03:30 a.m. He'd already taken apart about 23 televisions and radios. His garage looked like 'Fido's Fanny' w/all the crap strewn about. Sweating in 44º temps.. Yeah, thats healthy.

The problem is making it legal. When it's tomato status, they can't get rich off of it.

Regulation for our own good fills their pockets and allows the current buddy system to pass "permits" to grow.

Make it 100% legal, illegal to distribute to minors.

Or, get rid of illegal lawmakers.

Well, if all it takes to change the minds of lawmakers is to give them a lot of money, then it should be no problem, since the marijuana growers and distributors have plenty of that lying around.

I was exposed to chemical weapon material at an open burn pit on the Chesapeake Bay at Edgewood Arsenal MD. I was on 3 opiates and 3 muscle relaxers a day for15 years. Got it down to 2 a day and tried different pot that was suggested. Just didn't help much except for making me feel a little better mentally and helped to relax me. I'm pretty much screwed. It's a degenerative muscle disease. My last VA Dr. had a nurse who suggested I try pot instead. Then I got a new VA Dr. who said I couldn't use it or I would be taken off what was working. He did say a lot of the VA Dr.'s were fighting for allowing vets to use both. At least now I can walk and ride a bike and get exercise and if I just smoked pot I wouldn't be able to do much of that. The exercise does help me feel better mentally, but damn a little pot sure did help. Now it's legal here and I can't partake.

Locally the city had a hunk of property to auction off with sealed bids. 2 Bids one wants to build a factory and hire 200 people. They offered $70k. The other is going to build a growing facility and employ 400 people. They offered $400k .

The county doesn't know what to think, they have to take the $400k

5 years ago the property was sold for $16k

No attitude here either. I understand your frustration. It's just when you were screwed by these politicians that knew what was going on and allowed me and others to get exposed and didn't care and then you get some recognition for what you went through, it makes me wonder why some people think disabled vets are getting something nobody else is and are getting special treatment. I would change places with anybody. Believe it. There is nothing worse than having to go to the VA hospital for muscle spasms and you can only walk short distances and you're sitting next to a guy with no legs.

Lol... just lol..

Aren’t you a conservative???

You do know conservatives are the only thing that has been keeping weed illegal right???

the war on drugs was started by Nixon specifically to demonize blacks and hippies..

Then doubled down on by regan..

I never understand when I see this type stuff from people who constantly defend conservative politicians..

Well since we're throwing stories around I'm going to tell you something that took place with my dog Freddy about 3 weeks ago. I came home from being on the road and his whole left side was swollen.

My girlfriend had told me while I was still on the road that something was wrong with him she thought that he probably had a tumor and that he wasn't going to live long.. anyway by Sunday night he had gotten to the point where he was so uncomfortable he could not even lay down. I should have taken him to the vet the day before but I was kind of in denial about the whole thing. I wasn't ready to have him put down but Sunday night while I was standing there looking down at him. he had his head down he couldn't lay down and I didn't know what I was going to be able to do for him to make him comfortable.

My girlfriend suggested I put some Salve ( Containing Cannabis oil ) on him that I had been given a few months earlier by someone.

I honestly didn't think it would do anything but I had no options at that point so I took some and very gently applied it to the affected area. Whatever was wrong with him what strictly internal but the tumor or whatever it was had grown so large that it had his rib cage pushed out on the left side and there was a very visible large lump just behind his rib cage on that side.

Anyway I know it couldn't have been more than 5 or 10 minutes and Freddy laid down on his bed and started licking himself and he looked like he was fairly comfortable. I couldn't believe it because it seemed in my mind that the stuff wasn't even going to make it to his skin because of all his fur.

Long story short we kept applying it to him in the morning and at night and the swelling went down more and more each day and now it's not even noticeable and he seems to be as healthy as he has ever been.

I don't really expect many people to believe it I had a hard time believing it myself but I saw it with my own eyes and I have no other explanation then the salve.

I have heard many other stories about people using Salve for various things and these are people who would have been considered rednecks they never used marijuana during their lives but I've heard some very strong testimonies from them about what the Salve has done to relieve pains and aches in their body.

I don't know how that stuff works I don't know all the things that it can or cannot do all I know is what it did do for my dog

Where I live they have a lottery type system to see who gets the sellers license. You can apply (there are hundreds) and if you're lucky enough to get it you can take that to a bank with a business plan and get a loan to open a shop. The banks know you are going to do well and unless you have a real credit problem you're going to get the loan. Then you sell your business to a qualified person who wants to run a cannabis shop and sell them the business, pay off the loan and walk away with the money. Small shops here are being bought and sold all the time.
The people who do actually run these shops are making enough in 6 months to sell it for a lot of money and walk away. I read about 6 months ago where they passed a law that says people who work there in the cannabis shops can no longer take breaks and smoke. I didn't even know they could do that. That's like telling a liquor store employee they can't drink on their breaks. No wonder those guys always had an illegal smile on their face when you went in there. You might even be able to apply for the license and if you get it, sell it to a qualified person and never even have to open a store. Just sell it for $50,000 and walk away without even needing to get a loan. My little town doesn't allow these stores like a lot of other small towns. So a little town 7 miles away is making a killing. It's a college town and people from all over the County go there. Our little town is going broke and businesses are leaving. This group of old guys runs the City Council and when there is nothing left here, they will probably buy the whole place up cheap. Pretty soon the big guys are going to try to take this cannabis business's over and run the small people out of business. That's why I think getting in and then getting out is a good idea. I know one guy who got a growers license and after 2 years retired and left last year to go bike riding in New Zealand. He was a carpenter and had his whole operation done hydroponically and had timers to add water and nutrients so it ran itself. He was just growing for people who needed medical marijuana. He said he was done and had enough to quit working. Capitalism at it's finest. He was just stuck at home making sure he wasn't broken into which he was getting tired of. I house sat with a friend for a weekend one time for this guy. This carpenter was a genius. All we had to do was make sure nobody wandered around the property and make sure the buckets were full of the compounds he needed. Hemp is something I wouldn't mind growing. That stuff grows itself and I don't think you even need to water it. It would get plenty of rain here in Oregon. That's been a crop grown since our Country started.
