The FBI raided the office of Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's personal attorney, CBS News' Pat Milton confirms. They seized materials and documents from his office including content related to his payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels, also known as Stephanie Clifford, the New York Times reports.
A person familiar with the matter confirmed that law enforcement agents conducted searches Monday at his New York office and the New York residence of President Trump's long-time attorney, seizing documents and other material. A court warrant authorizing the raid was obtained. It is unclear what investigation the raid stems from.
Cohen's attorney, Stephen Ryan, released a statement confirming the search, saying, "Today the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients. I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller." According to a knowledgeable official, the information used in Monday's raid originated with the special counsel but is a separate inquiry, CBS News' Andres Triay reports.

You know maybe he has a completely separate investigation into this. Kinda like Manafort. We just don’t know, either way it happened and Mueller got a judge or two to sign off on it.
A question to ATS... this all happened while Trump was a private citizen. So attorney-client privilege should not exist for Trump because... he's orange and he doesn't believe in the "right" kind of politics?

While I don’t like Trump which I have said many times, if Mueller committed a crime in doing this I certainly hope justice will be served.

You'll then know "where we're going". Also, President Trump just said that he's considering firing Rod Rosenstein.

"Is there some point where his opposition can just let the guy attempt to do his job, accept the outcome of the election and try to get along with fellow citizens? Allow him to at least try? Or is that too much to even ask?"
At first I thought you were talking about Mueller. LOL!

The divide in our country is getting wider and wider and there seems to be no end in sight.
That's the entire point. The more you buy into it the more you become a pawn in their game.

SoOo... what would this have to do with Russian collusion again? You know, his reason for the investigation?
Has Carter Page been indited yet? At what point does this actually stop?
Because this investigation has not only gone off the rails, it is splitting the country apart.

Well this may have nothing to do with Russia collusion. IDK how the FBI could get involved with this separate investigation but it is not out of the realm of possibility.

Ah... poor Trump and his corrupt associates, poor babies.
I wouldn't grieve for these corrupt and greedy people
As for Mueller, Bill Clinton was investigated for WHitewater but they ended up getting him on sex and lying. That's how this works.
