This warrant to raid an attorneys office would have to outline just such a relationship of collusion to commit a crime

There is no such thing as collusion to commit a crime. I think you mean conspiracy to commit a crime.

Freudian slip?

In order to overwride attorney client privilege it would take evidence of a crime that involved both parties.

That would be one way, but the raid does not automatically mean attorney-client privilege has been nullified. That's what folks don't seem to understand. Privilege cannot be removed on the basis of evidence alone. Legally, in order to remove the privilege that exists between Trump and Cohen, Cohen must be convicted of a crime and there must be an implication that Trump is involved strong enough to warrant an indictment against him concerning the same crime.

Otherwise, everything that is found during the raids is inadmissible, as is any evidence found as a result of the raids. Anything tied to these raids in any way cannot be used to prosecute. Mueller's investigation, from a criminal aspect, is over where Trump is concerned. Any attempt to prosecute him based on anything recovered in the raids, no matter how small or insignificant, opens the FBI up to massive civil rights lawsuits now.

But this is not about criminal charges. It is about politics of destruction. That does not require evidence... only innuendo and accusations, no matter how frivolous. That is not the kind of country I wish to live in.

We will find out soon enough. The anger we see here is so great it overrides any desire to maintain law, justice, or even a government outside of a dictatorship.

That has always been the impetus for revolt. The first line in my signature applies.

The U.S. Attorney who authorized the raid on Cohen was appointed by Jeff Sessions, just 3 months ago. Hmmmm..

Source: www.law.com...

So...what do you make of that? I sense that Sessions/Trump/Mueller are working together. Great theatrics.

What attorney-client privilege???

The payment was made on Trump's behalf, ostensibly based on personal knowledge of Trump's legal situation. That is attorney-client privilege, even if the client's name is Trump.

It is profoundly illegal for an Attorney to act on a clients behalf without their knowledge or direction.

It is cause for immediate disbarment and charges.

Trump was either his client in the transaction or he wasn't.

WTF are you talking about? You don't know, do you?

What if a power of attorney was signed to allow freedom of action? Ever think of that?

Also, one of the best, if not the best, legal minds in America has said the seizure of docs was unconstitutional.

So, there's that.

Too bad this is about the money not the NDA.
And the money that was paid came from somewhere and a lie was told in its obtainment unless Cohen told the bank I'm paying hush money to a porn star on behalf of candidate donald trump.
He could not enter into any kind of agreement without trumps knowledge. If he did he committed an ethics offense and will likely be disbarred.
More trump effect. Given enough time everything he touches turns to #.

Power of attorney?

i don't care about justice because i'm happy to see our justice system working?

The FBI raids the office, home, and hotel room of the US President's private attorney while an investigation that has been going on over a year with no evidence is being pursued, on a tip from the Special Investigator investigating the President. They confiscate all records of private communication between him and the President. This is the same FBI that is itself coming under severe Congressional scrutiny for their previous actions toward said President and who has had their Director and Deputy Director fired for improper activities.

You call that working? You call that justice? I call it corrupt and malicious.

Larry Sinclair. Hilarious. Truly priceless. I can't believe people still believe that crap. Some folks are so gullible and naive. Some just can't tell real news from fake news.

Wanton desires.

They so want to believe.

More like you so want to deny.

But Obama has never denied it so why should you or anyone else?

When Trump supporters deny accusations that Trump doesn't even deny...let me know because they will officially be a cult to rival Cult 44.

Why do you care? Did you care about Larry Sinclair's claims? Did you feel bad for Michelle and were you disgusted that Malia was only a year old when Obama cheated with Larry?

One is a right wing homo-erotic fiction smear campaign without any basis in reality.

The other is an active court case with compelling evidence.

Larry was arrested at his press conference on a bogus warrant issued out of Beau Biden's office and falsely imprisoned. Personally, I think that's far more damning evidence than an NDA.

And, yeah...there is no active court case because eventually all of the phony criminal charges were dropped, and Larry won the defamation case filed against him.

Plus, Obama never denied it....so, unless you were with Obama on the weekend in question, you have no reason to deny it on his behalf.

Not to mention the fact that Trump may have signed a copy even if Stormy has never seen it. She wasn't entitled to a copy signed by Trump....for very, very, very obvious reasons.

Did you conveniently forget the guilty pleas and indictments, so far?

But this is outside the SC, which is why it was referred. So, something big (criminally) was uncovered.

You call that working? You call that justice? I call it corrupt and malicious.

I call it sufficient evidence of ongoing criminal activity (criminal conspiracy) to issue a warrant, hence the raid. And it only goes deeper.

I also call it Rule of Law.
