Tabloid Reports That UFO Footage Was Filmed On 11th Endeavor Space Shuttle Mission In 1996.

I just read this article, in England's version of The National Enquirer, The Daily Star. Whoever wrote this article messed up the dates on the Space Shuttle mission. It mistakenly stated that "NASA’s 77th Space Shuttle mission dubbed STS-77" was launched from launch pad 39B in 1969. WRONG!! STS-77 was the 11th mission of the Space Shuttle Endeavour and launched from pad 39B on May 19, 1996. Anyway, the article goes on to mention how astronaut Mario Runco Jr. filmed an unidentified craft, while talking to mission control. This article seems to imply that NASA just released this footage. I found a 2013 clip of this footage on YouTube, so once again, this proves the ineptitude of the article's author.

NASA releases video of ‘UFO’ from 1969 space mission sparking frenzy online FOOTAGE made public by NASA could prove that alien life is monitoring us, according to space boffins online.

Aldrin, Al Worden, Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper all took part in the study, which left experts “completely convinced” that signs of alien life were witnessed on board the 1969 Apollo 11 mission to the moon. And now, footage has emerged online which seems to prove this.

The video shows a UFO encounter on board a space shuttle mission in the same year. The clip reveals the moment a concerned space explorer radioed through to NASA’s mission control to report the sighting. Mario Runco Jn — the man filming — relays to his colleagues that they have been observing the object for some time.

Well, here's the footage of this "UFO" that was posted on YouTube in 2013. I have no idea what this could be, but it's probably not alien. But then again, who knows.

One clip, taken by Runco is of the PAM-STU satellite that Runco and his crew deployed during the STS-77 mission in 1996, outfitted with reflective materials. During the entire clip, however, Runco or mission control never says exactly what they are filming, but keep referring to it as “the target,” typical for pilots and NASA astronauts. There are other oddities about the clip, with lights moving in the background, but Runco says the lights are likely to be stars.
