For over a year, three Congressional Committees have been attempting to obtain roughly 1.2 million documents from the DOJ and FBI, related to potential crimes committed by the upper echelon of the Obama Administration.

To date, they have received only 3,000 documents. An exasperated David Nunes, Chairman of the House Intel Committee, said Friday that none of the 3,000 are related to what the committees have asked for. Near the end of 2016, the FBI told (then) Chairman Trey Gowdy to "Drop Dead", after he threatened to subpoena for the documents. Trey quit the committee. (Maybe he took that as a death threat?)

Yesterday, President Trump issued a strongly worded statement, essentially saying that the DOJ and FBI must be hiding something nefarious.

Today, DOJ Attorney General Jeff Sessions, appointed a U.S. Attorney named JOHN LAUSCH to speed up document retrieval, and ensure that the correct ones are sent to Congress. His team will also make certain that none are destroyed.

Tomorrow Attorney General Jeff Sessions will announce the assignment of U.S. Attorney John Lausch to facilitate the production of documents from the DOJ (Horowitz/Huber) to the House Judiciary Committee, and Chairman Bob Goodlatte.

Mr. Lausch is a Trump appointed U.S. Attorney from outside Washington DC. John Lausch currently heads the Northern District of Illinois which includes Chicago, and this specific U.S. Attorney has extensive experience in complex cases of conspiracy and political corruption; a key skill-set given the issues within the Horowitz/Huber investigation of potential politicization of the FBI and DOJ offices.

Each of these aspects is an investigation unto itself: •Clinton email, manipulated investigations with predetermined outcomes; •unlawful and coordinated media leaks; •false testimony to FBI, congress and under oath to IG; •manipulated FBI 302 reports; •Willful corruption by AD-Andrew McCabe, D-Comey etc.. and if that’s not complex enough to report about…. overlay the •issues with the FISA court; •false presentations; •source material (Steele Dossier); and well, you get the picture…. This is massive and complex.

Given the reality that politicization of the FBI and DOJ underpins the origination of the investigations that generated the underlying evidence, in order to ensure any internal FBI conflicts do not arise amid document selection, John Lausch will be involved.

It's hard to imagine so many areas of criminal activity within a single Administration, but 8 years is a long time. Long enough to build what we in Chicago call a "corruption producing MACHINE". Since Obama was trained and groomed here, and Hillary was born in Chicago, nothing in the OIG or Congressional final reports will surprise me.

I won't hold my breath since we can't know for sure how impregnated is the corruption these days.

But I do hope that the SHTF. It's about time now.

Instead of continuously directing senior personnel to produce these documents, they need to task some GS-5/7 personnel (folks who make $30-$40 thousand a year). Like just about everywhere else, those who make the least money are best at actually getting things done. Plus the odds of collusion with the prior administration are likely nil.

They don't have the necessary clearance I don't think. At any rate, some liberal outlets are now claiming that Jeff Sessions has broken his pledge..lol.

All of these actions would appear to violate the pledge Sessions made on March 2, 2017, when he announced that he would recuse himself from any investigations into the 2016 presidential campaigns, including the investigation into possible Trump-Russia collusion.

Why can't they just ask the US Marshalls to go in and grab them?

Of course, because you know, assigning a supervisor to make sure others are doing their jobs is a violation of...hmmm, anything? Plenty of low ranking folks have top secret (and higher) clearances, You don’t think the SES muckity mucks would do their own admin and keep their own calendars?

Guess the left doesn’t realize recusal means he won’t personally investigate, not that he would completely stop doing his job.

Step in the right direction.

Maybe they expose more implants and infiltrators.

Not easy to wade through something that has over 100,000 employees.

The whole thing is a joke. How can he "facilitate"? Does he have power to terminate people for insubordination? What is his 'motivator' that would prompt these people to do their damn jobs and produce the necessary actions to get things done and done correctly? The rules and laws in place aren't working AT ALL which is why we need yet another level of authority. IF they would follow the rules/laws already in place or get prosecuted for obsruction then maybe something might get done.

The fact that a facilitator is needed to facilitate the special investigation needed to facilitate the investigation of corruption .....

I'm not necessarily against the appointment Care, I just see one more level of impotent government to become ensnared in the tangle of corruption investigation. Hopefuly this will be the magic needed to get some action but I don't see it. What happened to the special subpoena that has been sitting around unenacted? Why haven't they used that instead of talking about using it?

I grow weary of the daily dose of BS from both sides. The American people have given the Repubs the house, senate, and presidency and we have no indictments or official investigations to show for it, but conspiracy theories to show for it except the russia collusion investigation that is the only investigation thus far to receive an independent prosecutor. If nothing gets done to prove or disprove these conspiracy theories I think you will see a Democrat landslide in November.

Yeah, they're not worried about their bills at all. I'm sure they don't take a cent...

Congress has a jail. And these career agents don't want to lose their jobs/income/pension/family insurance/etc. Time to turn the heat up to 11.

Why aren't they using it? Federal agents, former officials and their ilk could all be held in contempt. Possibly indefinitely. POTUS, specifically, can order the arrest and detention of any person in the world.

I suggest GOP/Trump starts governing. Do your job AG Sessions!

Well, if there's any doubt as to what is going on here let me explain it to you how I understand it:

1) IG Report is due soon, and will be rolled out in stages.

2) There's talk that the FISA warrant given to the FISA Court was NOT the same report filed by the FBI.

3) This would call into question ALL FISA warrants ever signed off on for a review.

4) They call it, "The Big Ugly".

5) FBI is crumbling

Thank you for the update!

At this point it seems there is a race going to
see who can take who down first.

The other side is playing dirty, so hopefully
in the long run they lose.

Another move on the chess board. On top of that, the FBI just raided Trump's attorney's home and office. They're getting desperate.

The corruption inside the FBI must be astronomical. I'm sure Trump thought when he fired Comey so suddenly, he was giving Sessions access to the dirt needed to clean the FBI up. But apparently that wasn't the case. People under Comey managed to cover up their dirt.

The FBI is the heart of DC corruption. J. Edgar Hoover turned it into a scandal clearinghouse for politicians way back when he was the first FBI Director. They have dirt on every single politician in DC, plus anyone in state politics that could run for a national office. The problem has been that Donald Trump was never a politician. I doubt he's squeaky clean either, but no one inside the FBI took the trouble to dig up dirt on him... and now he's over the FBI and working for the people instead of the politicians.

Just look at the timeline:
  • Sessions recuses himself, legally necessary since he was such a large part of Trump's campaign and the investigations were surrounding the Trump campaign. That kept him out of the FBI crosshairs.

  • Several Democratic members of Congress called for Trump's impeachment, starting before he even took office, and with no actual evidence of any type of wrongdoing.

  • Comey was fired, suddenly, while he was out of town, and notified he was fired by a special courier. He had no access to his office... when he left, everything was fine, and when he got back he wasn't allowed access anymore. Rosenstein and Andrew McCabe had access.

  • Mueller was appointed Special Investigator, specifically to investigate Trump's campaign's ties to Russian collusion, and immediately assembles a team of primarily anti-Trump Democrats. After over a year, he still hasn't produced any evidence collusion existed.

  • Congress can't get the documents they are entitled to by law.

  • Trey Gowdy was heavily stonewalled when he tried to force the issue and get the documents. Shortly afterwards, he resigned his leadership and his Congress seat without much of a reason. Was he threatened?

  • Nunes, now chairman, released his allegations against the FBI (improper FISA warrants to target Trump) in a memo. The political response was first that it contained sensitive information... it didn't. The next complaint was that the memo was partisan... and a Democratic memo with absolutely no allegations other than "Nunes lied!" is also released, destroying the partisanship claim and damaging the sensitive info claim since it did contain sensitive info. The final complaint was that Nunes' memo was untrue, but the documents that would prove or disprove it are the ones not being released.

  • Mueller hands down indictments against Paul Manafort and a few others, some who claimed they admitted to lying to protect themselves from threats.

  • The IG releases a report that claims Andrew McCabe lied on official documents and improperly released information to the media. McCabe is fired by Sessions, just before he can collect his retirement.

  • Sessions appoints a US attorney to facilitate the release of the documents from the FBI. The response from the people who demanded he recuse himself earlier? That he's violating the recusal by doing so, when in fact an appointment is the only way he could NOT violate his recusal.

  • Almost immediately, Mueller has the FBI raid Trump's lawyer's home and office.
I cannot look at the totality of these events and not come to the conclusion that the FBI is trying desperately to protect itself. It is just so obvious to me that the FBI has become so corrupt that an actual investigation into their actions would likely put some very influential people in prison. The next step, I fear, is another JFK.
