Jacy news (as I am allowed to share with all the lovely Shedlings with her permission) ----

Most of you are aware of how life has been treating our dear friend Jacy. For those who don't, she has been living in a women's shelter for the past few months as her ex left her meaning she could not afford to live on her own with what little disability payment she received. The ex and the landlord took most of her belongings. Friday she had a hearing to at least get paid for what her property was worth. She did not have a lawyer representing her just a friend who is a legal clerk. The landlord's "big and expensive lawyers" humiliated her and the law clerk bringing them to tears. As Jacy saw this as a no win situation as the judge wouldn't listen to anything but yes or no answers she withdrew the case.

Yesterday she received news of the death of the woman that was her and her friend's bible study teacher. Add migraines to this and you can imagine how she is feeling.

In Blue news
I've begun a story to include in the current writer's contest here at ATS but cannot continue with it as what I was writing about is bringing back too many negative memories. This is making me feel more depressed as usual as I'm tired of being a nobody just sitting here waiting for something better to happen. I'd like to be able to find and embrace the creative side that has left me for the most part.

In other Blue news, sitting up in bed this morning or afternoon (whatever time I got up) I massaged my ankle (you know, the one with the so-called torn ligament). Doing so caused the ankle to pop causing it to feel much better. I think I will send myself a bill for the procedure as that what the specialist would do if I actually went to see them. The US medical system just needs to blow up so we can get back to doctors treating patients instead of them spending most of their time finding ways to keep us in the poor house while they are out playing golf. In other medical news, I have an uncle who is in recovery from colon cancer. He has been experiencing a lot of pain and weakness since and will be going back to the hospital for help.

Please send happy thoughts and such as the world stinks too much.

Oh you must find them!

I have a fantasy deck that is pretty cool too, but haven't had the time to look through them yet.

A shame about Jacy! If she had a real lawyer, I can't imagine her not getting anything at all from him! That is not right! Not right at all!

Glad your ankle is feeling better Hun. Healing vibes and prayers for your Uncle.

Have to pick from some paint samples for Mark right now. Be back later. Hugs!

i just wanted to tell you how much i sympathize with what you're going through. i have been blocked with writing for a long time now. sometimes it's negative memories, sometimes it's fear and i don't know what of, and sometimes it's just feeling like i have no idea what i want to say. it's frustrating to know you have a gift and not know how to use it.

i branch out to other creative things i enjoy that feel less loaded and less threatening to deal with my creative urges, and i always hope that i'll find my way back to writing someday... but i'm also learning to think what it might be like if that just doesn't happen. maybe being able to hold that thought in my heart will make it easier to find my way back... or easier to deal if i don't.

:/

Darn it, had a whole long reply typed out for Jacy, and some words of encouragement for you blue.. but I clicked something on my phone and lost it all. 🙄. Thats ok when it’s a short post, but the things I wanted to say took me a long time to type ... and I really wanted to share them .😕

I’m taking a break and see if I have better luck with a long reply to your post later Blue. It deserves addressing as it is about our lovely Jacy as well as some of your frustrations.

I originally had a longer reply myself but didn't seem to want to load, it was so damned slow. I just closed out of the page and came back. Grrrr!

Lol... frustrating when it happens.

Speaking of large hearts.. I hope our fellow Sheddite Joe is enjoying growing his seedlings and plotting out the garden. Miss his warm friendly posts, but I understand he’s busy, and most likely knackered when the day is done.

* waves to Joe* (( hugs bro ))

I miss Joe and others as well. It's sad when people slip into lurker mode. Perhaps we should provide entertainment or something. I could have the shed creatures build a theatre where we can all watch movies. Maybe expand the already massive library. Have craft nights. Shrugs shoulders. I dunno.

Craft Nights... that should do it 😉. I can respect that some choose to stay in lurker mode... been there myself. I just want to say a big hello to them all .

Lol.. just about anthing will do , but I love those pottery vessels that get broken and reconstructed into lil mini terrariums. That may not be the right word , but you probably know what I’m talking about. Would post a pic.. but still can’t do it from my phone. If you can find some pics of them , they are gorgeous.. mostly succulents and very whimsical. Some with faeries and little gnomes.

I want to learn how to make those ... k ? I bet Joe would do well constructing them.

Found them.. they are beautiful!!!

Carve wooden mushrooms in the woods!
That is all.

PS - My heart goes out to everyone who's having a hard time just now.
I don't often comment on this as I can come across as being too "cold", "direct" or "unsympathetic".
(I think I'm a little bit old-school in that regard and I know it doesn't always sit well with everyone!)

All I will say today is:
Sitting alone at a computer day after day will inevitably bring you down (regardless of the support you get on here).
Getting out in the fresh air and re-connecting with nature will lift your spirits no end (if you let it).
See the beauty that exists in nature. Feel the breeze. Listen to the songbirds (they are amazing at this time of year in the N.Hemisphere).
Find an interest, craft or hobby (away from the computer) that is easy, cheap (or free) and that you enjoy.
Find positive things to busy yourself with. Go for a walk if you can.
DO those wee jobs around the house that you've been putting off (even little by little).
Then reward yourself with a treat!
Find something to take care of - adopt a stray animal or see if a charity in your area needs a volunteer.
Give yourself the opportunity to focus on something other than your anxiety & troubles.
It's up to YOU to open that door a wee bit... just enough to let some light in!

Sorry, I've rambled on a wee bit.
G Out!

(pm me if anyone needs/wants to chat off-page!)

Good afternoon! (or whatever time of day it is for you time-zone-limited fine folks!)

I am having a good afternoon. Drinking big time, it has been about two weeks since the last time. Yes, i have had a few every now and then, but not been drunk. I don't know how to explain this but i will try. If a spend my days, weeks, sober, all kinds of noise builds up to my brains. Then i have to get hands down drunk. I call it "reset the brain" very much alike to rebooting a computer that is slow and not working properly. It is even harder to explain this because what i have seen and read, you all have a healthy relationship with alcohol, well i don't, but it has been very much better after quitting antidepressants.

I saw my close friend and his 4 year old daughter earlier today (sober then of course, i think kids can notice it by instinct even before the adult notices he has been drinking) It was great! she had a cute summer dress. Such a sweet little tiny summer lady.

Now at my friend's place alone. Waiting for him to get back home. I owe him 20 euros and will pay when we meet. Or not alone. 2 cats here. Other one of them was really cute on my lap and half by instinct i kissed her on the cheek and got cat hair on my lips. Well, i asked for it.

I use to sneak away to a pub several blocks from my grave to have 3 Hennessy shots and 2 Heineken beers. Takes up exactly 23 minutes. Then I feel the buzz. Buzz only lasts long enough for the walk home. Strange thing is Everytime I did that... I'd inherit woman. Naturally... I'd leave before they get flirty. But yes... Women. Not my thing. I like wives.
