Yay!

Some Scottish "Punk" LOL



Saw these guys in the Pavilion theatre Glasgow in the '80's!
They were 110% full on, bonkers, nuts, BRILLIANT!!!

I also had a "thing" for lead singer Faye Fyfe...
Met someone years later who knew her personally!!!!
She started talking about "Janice..." and I'm like "Who??"
She told me that "Faye Fyfe" was just her stage name!!!
"How did she get a stage name like that?" I asked...
"Because she's fae Fife" (from Fife) came the reply!!! (I felt about 3" tall!!!! ROFL
(Fife is a.... "county" in Scotland!)

I thought I'd seen a lot of stuff through the years but no, I huge, bald, bagpipe playing Scot doing a Hot Chocolate cover was unknown to me.

ETA Just googled, they are based at least in Lincoln, still funny though. Hobbies listed are: Haggis, whiskey, chucking cabers aboot, drunken disorderly, battered Mars bars.

Maybe they drink the Irish stuff cos it's cheaper? At least it used to be, inferior production process and quality I'm sure.

Loving this jam session. Here's my all time fave cover. Imagine in a minor key. *melts* The video just wrenches my heart every time. Maynard turns this into a completely different song.
