I know and I feel bad about it. I really shouldn't communicate when I am out of sorts.

Will you accept an apology for my previous reply to you?
I was hurt but that doesn't justify such a rant.
I am sorry.

Apology accepted. 😎

My ill worded meaning was for you to just let the crap flow over you ... whilst being kind to yourself. You deserve serenity ...

"To err is human; to forgive Divine" (Alexander Pope)
Thank You, I am humbled, most people don't graciously accept an apology, but prefer to brood, thus tribal wars began.
I was wondering today what your response would be.

You are right about "letting it flow over" but there have been so much it has pilled up, I am in a crap pile.

I am selfish and thus make "me time" a priority at home, but I can't control my work environment. That is the problem.

Serenity.
Now if you imagine that the "loved one" in the lyrics is actually "Life", life is my loved one.

"Where do we go, when we just don't know".

I know you are a man of few words, well I actually don't know if you are a man, so just ignore all this.
I like it when I don't know a persons gender, it make things flow.

Or maybe you should. Ventilate. You wrote you are far away from loved ones and in a more or less hostile environment. You have us, the shed. You have been nice to us, you have read some of us complain about life in general. You have the absolute right to do the same and i can guarantee we are going to be nice towards you.

That is exactly when you need to communicate and get your thoughts and feelings out. Keeping things inside will only make things worse.

Most of us have had our moments in here with each other over one thing or another, but we ended up closer in the end after speaking behind the scenes in PM's, clarifying things and coming to an understanding. I have a lot of faith in the Sheddite members to be able to work things out or if all else fails, to agree to disagree.

It is healing to be able to share with our friends in here.

Awesome song you posted!

The story of Dad,
by the son of Dad -

For those not familiar with the dad of this story here are his issues:

Diabetes
Onset of Dementia
Brain Damage
Very Poor Hearing
Very Poor Vision

Yet since this is his house he considers himself king of the castle and mom and I are nothing but peons. This means that he "has" to do all the shopping and driving. His driving scares the xxxx out of me so I avoid going anywhere with him as much as I can.

A brief introduction to Mom:

To here there are a few things that she avoids as they are the work of the devil.

Computers
Alcohol
Cigarettes of Any Kind
Plus she doesn't like Seafood (which is a shame)

Now back to my story. Dad is blind when it comes to buying anything from the "red" aisle of the grocery store. You know, the one with all the tomato-based products such as ketchup, pizza/pasta sauce, barbeque sauce and more. He always comes back from the store with the stupidest and mostly unusable items. Forget asking for barbeque sauce as he has no clue as to things such as mild/hot/way too spicy either. His latest failed purchase of barbeques sauce was of the Budweiser brand of honey BBQ. This is now banished from the house per mom's list of devil items.

He is addicted to buying anything that has a 'sales' or 'clearance' sticker on it regardless of what it is. His motto is "cheap is good and good is too expensive". I think I've shared with you his last ice tea purchase. That of mint flavored green tea. I have no issues with green tea. I just don't care to drink something that tastes like spearmint gum. The 'exciting' treat he brought home this week was also a misfire. The request was for peppermints. I'm addicted to them btw. How simple is it to buy something that says "PEPPERmints" and comes in a red and white bag? Of course, that was not simple enough for the king of the household. He brought home a blue and white bag of PEP-O-mints.

He is an idiot, he can't read because of that and other things his driver's license needs to be taken away. He is nothing but a danger to society.

As collecting things that others throw away is his hobby (hoarding) he came home with another desk for me. I have no problem with the new/used desk even with its problems. This issued I had with it were in part getting it from the SUV to my bedroom. I moved the old desk out of the way and swept under where it was. As my ankle is somewhat broken this was a challenge. Day one the desk stayed in the SUV as outside the temp. felt like 108 or so. The morning of day two I removed everything from my desk and place those things mostly on my be and recliner. Then (as I do so much) I waited. After too much waiting I asked mom where dad was. What happened was that mom and dad's health insurance will no longer be honored by their medical group at the end of October, therefore, dad went to their MD's office to find out what the alternatives would be. Of course, he cannot just call someone to get an answer he has to be there in person. The issue he is having is that he doesn't understand that it's not just the MD that will not longer take the insurance, it's all the specialist in the medical group as well.

So finally after too much time, I get the desk to use. He had to also go to the hardware store as the desk was missing a wheel. As it's a bit bigger than the older one I had to do some furniture moving around in the bedroom which is no fun on my ankle as it can give out on me without warning.

Earlier in the dad saga, he was panicking as he couldn't find his billfold (wallet). He asked mom and me if we had seen it. Finally, it was determined that he may have left it at the pharmacy. As it is too below him to talk on the phone he had mom call to verify that his long-lost wallet was there. Which it was of course.

Today he was trying to ask mom some questions but didn't understand that going to the bathroom takes some time and coming back every 10 seconds to see if she is finished is not the best things to do. Who knows what he wanted. He drove off to who knows where. I attempted to take a shower while he was gone but found out the hot water is now lukewarm water instead.

The weather has been FANTASTIC today! It's 75* right now, it's been pretty much that all day. Marvelous
Hubby and I have spent most of the day just relaxing out on the deck with coffees and beers while the kids are off playing with their friends. A wonderfully lazy day with just the right temps for it

93.2 here today (34 C) It's getting closish to record temps for Holland. I sit down and try not to stand up too much. The plastic on my fan broke so now it is dangerously balanced on a cardboard box, no longer attached to the base. Life on the edge.
For the first time in years I have my beer in the fridge. I usually just drink it at room temperature but 34 degrees is a bit much after a while, even for me.

It's the next best thing to an airco I reckon.
