Beautiful day out there. Once I get caught up with a few things, I shall sit on my new porch and enjoy the trees, flowers and birds out there. How is your day going or night?

Well, I've been busy in the garden the last couple of days...
Weeding weeding weeding the borders. Then more weeding...
Edging the front lawn.
Cutting the grass front & back.
Adding (and digging in) 250L of compost to the front lawn borders.
Watering all the flower beds etc

I am now officially knackered!

Took it a bit easier today, the weather was scorching again - so I decided to surprise my boys with a BBQ.
Got some sausages, burgers, chicken drumsticks... Baked potatoes, HUGE garlic mushrooms, mini corn-on-the-cobs (cobettes?) Then did my barbie special dessert... Hot Chocolate Bananas! OMFG!!! Deeeelish!
(You just cut a slit all along each banana and push squares from a bar of chocolate into the slit all the way along... wrap the banana in foil and sit it on the BBQ (slit-side-up) for 12-15mins. The banana cooks & softens, and the chocolate melts into it! You just "dig-in" with a small teaspoon... mixing the melted chocolate with the soft warm banana as you go...
There's nothing like it!

We are "dog-sitting" for a friend this weekend too.
"Lady" and "Brenna" - 2 Cockapoos?? or similar are staying with us while their "mum" goes away to see a Beyonce gig!
They are very cute and have been no bother at all so far.

I am currently enjoying a wee dram before bed...

JustMike, if you're around, I read more of your book while out on the porch! My heart smiled when I saw a mention of New England Autumn. Enjoying the story very much.

Besides reading, I gazed at the bees and flowers and trees, felt the mild Summerish breeze. Ah, a little slice of heaven here at home.


Cooking sphegetti squash. Have to heat up the basil and garlic sphegetti sauce and sprinkle mozzerella cheese on top now.
