As soon as Democrats retake the House in November, Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told a town hall meeting Wednesday that the first priority is repealing and "replacing" the GOP tax cut package that passed last December.
Speaking to her constituents in Culver City, California, alongside Hollywood Congressman Ted Lieu, Pelosi pledged to discard the popular bill, which has prompted several major American companies to boost wages, share profits, and in some cases move their production operations back from overseas, because Republicans were so secretive in enacting the bill.

www.dailywire.com...

I often write with my tongue firmly planted in cheek. It's who I am. *shrugs*

Many times I have stated that the democrats want to run on;

Higher taxes
Banning guns
Open borders.

I guess we could call it the "Three Pillars of Stupidity".

We all have seen the push to ban firearms. That's not even debatable any longer.

We have all seen the push for sanctuary cities, illegals voting, the census issues.

Now they come out against tax cuts.

I love this! The leftists have taken off the gloves and are actually being honest! Now we can actually see where we stand as a country.

Are we going to be a nation striving for dependence on the government? A nation disarmed and reliant on the government to protect us? A nation with no borders, a nation with no identity except that which is told to us by our government?

Or are we a nation striving for freedom, personal responsibility, independence?

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The only person on record who wants to take my guns is Trump.

Personal responsibility? Like six bankruptcies?

Independence? Well I suppose if we don't count all this Trump government surveillance.

Borders? Do they really matter since Trump is bankrupting the country? Hopefully the Democrats will raise taxes and stop the red ink.

do you any of you political geniuses know what legislation Pelosi actually got passed?......looks like you don't have a clue. besides, it's been 8 friggin years of republican control of the congress, Pelosi hasn't had the power to do anything in that time. so, the blame clearly is on the republicans, they have held the purse strings for 8 years, get a grip.

Wow so you're just butt hurt? This reads "butt hurt" so much that you want to take money from the poor and middle class to give to Pelosi's friends because Trump is evil to you.

I always thought she had huge guns as well. Probably would have like to see them 20 years ago though

I think Trump needs to counter this drivel from Pelosi by some emergency tax legislation...

End the Income Tax and dismantle the IRS, effective December 31, 2018. Justify it by citing the IRS was probably used as a political tool under Obama. Let her and other Democrats run on a platform of pure unadulterated oppression of the people and see what the vote tally is in November.

Easy Peasy. As for the budget, let China pay for it all via tariff.

At this point, if I were a Democrat, I'd wonder if she was a right-wing plant.

IKR..

She is so bad it forces people in the middle to choose the R's or not bother to vote for either party.

Why not, we probably paid for them, anyway.

No you dont. They are wrinkly and old and drag on the floor.

Just because you elected her doesnt mean you get to see her neked. Americans are weird.

I'm not a fan of either side of the coin. But time and time again when I see something absolutely disgusting, it's coming from a democrat. Be it either Pelosi and this tax, or someone else. It always boils down to what THEY want, not what's good for the people.

Only because August is your name.... I say April 7 isn't soon enough. It is still in the thousands of Degrees whether we use C or F in April 2018.... I like F for them........

Nancy told me the sun is colder in the winter and I believe her since she makes so much sense about everything else.

Oh lord, I forgot about that one. She would be sent packing to the loony bin in some countries but we keep making her a leader. Damn that sounds backwards.

Man you guys will pick nits.

The topic is Pelosi wanting to raise taxes... a bloodsucking parasite looking to suck more from the American people. Sound like a lice problem to you, too? Nits make gnats, man. She's fair game for pretty much whatever at this point, what with the ends of getting her out of DC will always be worth the means used to remove her from there.

I must be in some kind of denial or something. I just cant seem to grasp the idea that nearly half of this country actually believes the democrats are doing the right thing. I guess the dumbing down of America has finally resulted in a population that willingly embraces its own political suffocation like a drowning man refusing to let go of a lead brick with "floaty" printed on it. I just don't get it.

I think we should create a law that states that illegal aliens have to get paid the minimum wage citizens get in an area. That will force the people in California to pay the same wage citizens get to illegal aliens. It will force all the farmers to pay California wages instead of paying by the piece if the piece price is less than minimum wage in the area.

More laws? Employers are already breaking the law by hiring illegals and paying them under the table, so I don't see any reason that they wouldn't break this one too...

The problem is that the employers are not following the laws when it comes to illegals. They are forcing these people to work for way less and they are not providing the same level of safety usually either. California is allowing this to happen, they are violating equal rights. Oh yeah, equal rights only applies to illegals voting, not making equal pay.

I don't know about the illegals where you live, but where I live they get paid the same as every one else.
Uh, you mean everyone else gets the same low pay as the illegals...The illegals are setting the low wage standard...

First of all, this tax cut is not paid for. It raises the national debt. Oh, oh, but Republican debt is OK. It is just that Democratic debt that is bad.

Second, the tax cut was totally for the elite and corporations, who were doing just fine already.

Now thank to GOP incompetence, the debt limit will be used to beat Trump to a pulp. He thinks he isn't signing another omnibus bill...i real real new for Trump...Schumer owns him.

Then quit promoting spending.

Easy.

I love this!

Government spends too much and spends it poorly. But instead of addressing that, we focus on the need for government to take MORE of OUR money.

1. As far as I am concerned, the debt is going up-up-up regardless of who is in power, the past 18 years have been a testament to that, so the only question to be asked is "where is that money going?" For much of those 18 years, that money has gone somewhere other than my family's pockets. When I say that, I'm talking about my own earnings... not any manner of spending by which I receive money from the government, simply what percentage of the money I, myself, work for am I being "allowed" to keep for our own uses. If the debt will continue to climb regardless of the "where" (which we all know it will) why shouldn't the "where" be back into my own pockets where my own earnings belong anyway?
2. I'm neither elite nor a corporation, yet I am seeing a measurable sum of my own earnings left in my paycheck each payday since early February. So no, it wasn't totally for the elite and corporations, it was for PEOPLE WHO EARN THEIR OWN MONEY, period.
3. Schumer doesn't have the wherewithall to recognize that teenagers "eating" Tide Pods was an internet joke, yet he's somehow going to magically "own" Donald Trump? BWAHAHAHA!!!! That's rich. Chuck Schumer doesn't own jack squat, friend. He's owned by the banks, real estate PACs, and healthcare industry, period. He's Harry Reid's last middle finger to the American middle class, nothing more, nothing less.

It's the religion of the democratic socialist/American Marxists, DB. It's fascinating as all hell, really. If someone is *ahem* "less fortunate" (read: lazy as tits on a boar) then telling them to "get a better job" or "invest in themselves to make them a more attractive employee" or hell, even just "get a damn job" is cold, callous, and cruel... but by God if old Uncle Sam needs to spend more on entitlements to solidify that ever growing "Kept Voter" pool, Katie bar the door because we've got ourselves a goddamned income problem and need to raise taxes on all those greedy mofos who are out there hustling their asses to earn their own money.

Welcome to the circus, the clowns and jackasses are on your left.

Getting anyone on the left to actually admit that government spends poorly is harder than getting Michael Moore into a size 4 scuba diving suit.

The ratio of corporate tax cuts to personal is about 30:1. Further, the red ink has weakened the dollar. What pittance the tax cut might have given you has been stolen by the weak dollar. You were played like a fiddle.

If you do a little homework, William Jefferson Clinton drove the deficit to zero. Janet Yellen was part of the study of how to run the fed when the government isn't deficit spending. However GW Bush took care of that problem.
