Legalized prostitution would make child prostitution, sex slaves and the like easier to find and prosecute. I think sex workers deserve the right to profit by their bodies, if that's their choice.

I think those that coerce/groom children into prostitution and pornography should go away for a long, long time.

I think two adults who agree to exchange sex for money should enjoy the activity and profit by it without interference.

If you sell your body to McDonald's for a few dollars an hour, you've got a job. If you sell your body to a fat homeless man in the back of his car you're a criminal.

The sad thing is that you actually have to say this in 2018. WTF is going on in this society when adults can't have sex unless the government says it's OK?

My problem with this situation is that there is no real way to prove that this sex trafficking is actually occurring without a lot of police work. Some people say there is evidence of child sex trafficking by looking at the ads and saying that these are pictures of underage children. The problem is that there is no way to accurately tell someones age from a picture. Here is a link to an article written in 2011 by the Riverfront Times. The Riverfront Times is a independent free newspaper that used to have personal ads years ago. This article documents the methods that have been used to push the anti trafficking agenda. Unfortunately, those methods are flawed.

I also question about code words since last year I was told by a politician in St. Louis that anyone walking with a Polar Pop Cup on south broadway is a prostitute. At best this is hearsay.

CBS local: Prostitutes in South St. Louis

We want our children to be safe but it is very hard to prove these crimes without real tips and undercover police work. How can you prove that a site actually knows what is happening with the personal ads. It sounds more like a dangerous piece of legislation that will end up being misused for nefarious reasons. And the reason that it passes is that our politicians are pandering for votes without really thinking about the logistics of the situation.

Also, lets not forget that there is money involved for people wanting to set up non profit organisations to "fight" this scourge.
