I don't claim flat or spherical. The atmosphere causes our vision to see convex shapes. That's why sun rays come in at angles that makes it appear the sun is very close to the earth. The same effect would cause the earth at altitudes where you're looking through a whole lot of atmosphere appear to be curved.

Let's be real here. Flat Earthers never had any intention of actually proving their point. Internet research and youtube is all they need.

The Apollo pics of earth don't show an oblong sphere.. just a perfectly round one.

No you can't see earth's curvature from ground level.

No one here gave any real evidence of globe earth. Do you think insults will change minds? Prove earth is a sphere. With hard evidence. Not pictures or videos but real time evidence that shows that physically our earth is a sphere. Not math based on theories. Real hard facts.

Two people, one flashlight, 1 mile on dry lake bed. At night. When lowered to ground level, the flash light will seem to disappear to the individual 1 mile away.....reason: 8 inches of arc due to the curve of the Earth.

Gravity meter - measures the gravitational acceleration.

Going from the North Pole towards the equator at sea level, the force of gravitational acceleration will go down the closer you get to the equator......then will climb back up as you cross the equator and head to the South Pole.

This is because of the bulge around the Earth's equator, where as sea level is at the equator is actually farther away from the Earth's core than at the poles (one can test this too with altitude, as when one climbs a mountain the gravitation force also drops).

Only a spherical shaped Earth can do this.

OK - I've got a good one:

"The only thing flat-earthers fear, is sphere itself"

I got one too.

Curious why this 'flat earth' bull snip keeps being brought up.

I guess they are threatened by what other people think.

Good joke btw.

Get an atomic watch, book a flight from NY to China. Time how long it takes on each trip.

Or if you have a couple of hundred dollars, buy a fancy pendulum and read this, physical proof from Earth illustrating rotation.

month later, Foucault shared his experiment with all of Paris at the majestic Pantheon building. According to the American Physical Society, he suspended from the Pantheon’s lofty dome a 61-pound brass bob on a 220-foot cable. As it swung back and forth, the pointed end of the bob traced lines in sand that had been poured on a wooden platform. Over time, the angle of these lines changed, suggesting to audience members that the direction of the pendulum’s travel was shifting under the influence of an unperceived rotational motion—that of Earth

This is something you can do on a smaller scale.
No math, no theories, the Earth is doing all the proving.

IT IS AN OBLATE SPHEROID

If the planet was molten and spinning, which made the Earth an oblate spheroid, why are there no other planets resembling "oblate spheroids?" They all look perfectly round to me. Just a thought....

They can't do it. I can't either, either way.

The earth is still molten.

Who says that we aren't on a flattish disc that is spinning?

The planned flights will take tourists to low earth orbit, or far enough to see an elliptical earth, since it's not going to go past orbit where the Earth would be a nice slightly oblong sphere.

It is a slightly oblong sphere (the term is an "oblate spheroid"), but the difference between the width of the earth at its widest point compared to the pole-to-pole "height" of the earth is about 44km (28 miles). That's a 28 mile difference over the Earth's 8000 mile diameter.

That would make the height 99.7% of the width -- or another way to put it is that it is 0.3% wider that it is tall. That's way too minor of a bulge in the sphere to notice with your eyes, even if you were in sapce looking back at the full Earth.

And that's using the single widest point. If the average maximum width is used, the difference is even smaller (21 km or a little less than 13 miles -- or about a 0.016% difference).

Mars:
equatorial radius - 3396.2 km
polar radius - 3376.2 km

Jupiter:
equatorial radius - 71,492 km
polar radius - 66,854 km

Even the Moon:

equatorial radius - 1738.1 km
polar radius - 1736.0 km

I could keep going if you'd like.

Wouldn't you think that a planet sized mass of spinning molten rock would bulge more than slightly, at a rotational speed of 1,037 mph?

Post your results with a citation.

Otherwise, it's just your word saying it.

But considering that you have stated you will accept nothing as evidence, you're a waste of time because you've already made up your mind and decided something, while inserting fingers in your ears, closing your eyes and shouting.
