Olive oil in an omelette?! Or do you mean velveting meat?

It's all really an effort thing too - it's only me that eats meat other than bacon and ham and sausages in this house. My son has issues and doesn't like certain foods more so because of texture or change. He's happy for my scrambled eggs, sometimes eats quiche I make - but would lose his top if I set down an omelette in front of him.

You should try phone-in take out over in SE Asia!!

To some of them everything sounds like "Fish Head Curry"! Order white rice with Chicken...they hear "Fish Head Curry, extra spicy".

Order pork with noodles and they hear "Fish Head Curry, extra-fishy"

The only time they didn't hear "Fish head curry" was if you actually ordered "Fish Head Curry"...and then they heard... "Whatever you can catch in the back alley with black bean paste".

The "I've got twenty dollars, bring me food" approach worked out pretty well.
I got a couple of eggrolls, some crab rangoons, some shrimp fried rice, some general's chicken, and some beef stir fry. and some wonton soup with crunchies.
Enough for two heaping helpings.
Tipped the driver a fiver.
I think this is how I will do it from now on, rather than deal with the awkward language barrier.

I've traded a snapping turtle for a meal. They were upset that I had cleaned it.
