It is a long article, and unlike what you usually read on The Drive, it doesn't have a lot of filler. Basically spotters and adsb trackers have been watching a former alleged CIA rendition plane that is now possibly looking for ships that don't transmit AIS. (Think of AIS as ADSB for ships.)

For the record, I don't think think plane was used in rendition. But it was used for some military or intelligence purpose during Gulf War II.

Almost certainly the former. Sanction busting helps keep the pressure on. I would doubt they would be looking for a particular "something" openly with a Dash 8.

These white unmarked (other than registration) planes ARE how the US government snoops. It is just another version of hiding in plain sight.
