I like to think that most folks were raised right, and learned to be polite in person.

Now we have the internet, not in persons, so folks are rude sometimes.

Hopefully it works ok for eveyone, and no one gets hurt or has to go to the jailhouse or the madhouse!

Thanks.

ETA: seeing the prior post I will amend my remarks to suggest that the madhouse is most likely despite my hopes.

What makes you think I support taking guns away? You'd be wrong, I support the second amendment fully, but nice try.

You're the one who's being emotional, calling for civil war and using partisan talking points to paint me as a bad guy. You're making my opinions for me, saying I'm a Marxist who wants guns taken away. Boy are you wrong.

That's a darn good start if he can pull it off and the first hope we've had in years of actually pulling back from empire building and destroying other sovereigns.

It's something that those who care should all get behind because he's definitely gonna come up against resistance from the warlords and haters.

Obama was the first candidate I got excited about in my lifetime because of such talk, but he laid down on it. That's when he lost my support. Bush Crime Family would never even consider it---quite the contrary.

This gives me some hope that we can stop destroying and start rebuilding our international reputation.

I would ask those Dems that care about our reckless foreign policy--and I know that's most of you--to please join in and lend your voices to support this. If he's serious he's gonna need our help. Let's get LOUD together and demand it. Peace Y'all!!

This is one of the reasons i voted for trump. Get out of these dumb wars!

US Interventionist wars must end, I agree. Time to end the suffering, killing, maiming and destruction of the currency of life for countless millions — all due to selfish interest. I agree.

How Trump will go about opposing the Pentagon's decades long agenda that has been already in play; along with appointing neo-warhawk James Bolton to his inner-circle; will be interesting to observe...

Ok, go kill isis or terrorists. But regime change, and arming terrorists to fight assad is nuts.

Isis + arming terrorist + regime change = the same BEAST. Therefore, observing how the Trump administration will put an end to the ISIS machine that the US created, trained, funded and armed is going to be one tricky task. That is akin to trying to round up a swarm of bees...

Now we will see what actually happens. I know trump swamp people will encourage him to try to have a proxy war with russia, and overthrow assad.

True. However, the Syrian *intervention* is complicated. There are many dynamics at play there. Think of it as a chess game with many ping-pong matches being played over it...

Btw, who's going to clean up the hellhole mess in Libya—Africa's once most advance and thriving nation—that the US created...?

Who cares if assad is bad, we shouldnt be fighting him.

True. However, who told you he was bad? Was it the same ones who told you Qaddafi, Saddam and Kim Jong-un were bad, but LOVE the Qataris, Israelis and Saudis...?

Btw, what do you think the Trump adminstration should be doing about the US/UK backed Saudia aggression on Yemen going on these past 5/6 years that have caused the greatest humanitarian crisis in modern times....?

Props to trump for saying this (though words are cheap, lets see what he actually does). I am sure this will be met with near universally condemnation from the establishment MSM on both sides, that are chomping at the bit to nation build and have a conflict with russia.

Russia really threw a wrench in Imperialist plans re: Syria. Globalist are pissed.

Trump ending wars will lead to only one term. After all, constant wars is the only thing that is sustaining the American economy and making the autocrats of its society richer and more powerful. This is why Trump is pushing for better trade (economic) policies to balance the push for ending wars, imo. Btw, the oligarchs [industrialist] and their puppets [American government] are the ones who shipped manufacturing/jobs off to Asia and other parts of the underdeveloped world; and never invested the TRILLIONS of dollars earned ANNUALLY from doing so back into American society and infrastructure like was promised.

I like Trump as far as his intentions are concerned, tho.

Even after 14 months, it's still REFRESHING to have a U.S. President who means what he says!

I hear you there. From all sides they are trying to destroy this country. They want to remove our boarders to weaken us. They want to import the lowest of the low, to weaken us. They want us to be hated across the globe, to weaken us.

Wouldn't it be great if all of those threats brought us closer together and allowed us to implement protections to keep this country great. To allow us to make friends the globe over and that friendship was based on mutual respect instead of the fear of massive bombs being used to assure your compliance.

With the partnering of china - russia and other bric countries, the vampire masters are going to be threatened through their revenue streams. We need to disarm them before they can drag the rest of us down with them. If we were a country with morals and borders again, we could probably produce everything we needed and be pretty much self sufficient. But that does not factor into their plans at all.

I agree, that would be great. I hope it doesn't come down to a civil war, but the problem is 2 sides are becoming such polar opposites of one another, I'm not sure how the future will end up.

In the last 10 years a significant portion of the population has given full blown support to a socialist utopian world with no borders. Some even outright want communism or anarchy. It seems that particular population just keeps growing.

Time will tell. But as another poster pointed out, it's never a bad idea to be prepared.

I think we all can agree, that people demonstrate their fitness to own firearms by what they say they will do with them .

Just saying that I am glad that some folks make very disturbing statements, and I am happy that that don't live near me.

I might have to shoot them.

Oh, just a joke...

I think the official number of US troops in Syria is 2000. they could be deployed to the Southern border to push back Mexican invaders.

This is a good thing in my opinion.

To many people are focusing on Bolton, as long as James Mattis is SecDef and has the presidents ear I am not to worried about new wars.

Got to remember don't just look at the squeaky wheel, sometimes its the quiet ones that are pulling the load.

I wonder what country we invade next? North Korea maybe? The MIC can't just lose a moneymaker without replacing it somewhere else.

How dare you suggest that corporations needing wars to survive and sell product would encourage such chaos.

The MIC only cares about liberation and the welfare of the people around the world. You must cause infinite Wars for Peace /S

On a side note perhaps its time we face the truth and treat the MIC like the Gangsters they are and we just pay them like mob bosses to keep the peace. I think half the world would be willing to chip in. Sadly its probably the only way to control this financially motivated chaos.

President Donald Trump made a surprise announcement on Thursday afternoon, stating during a speech in Richfield, Ohio dedicated to Trump's infrastructure week, that US forces will be withdrawing from Syria, citing the defeat of ISIS and the need to defend US borders and rebuild crumbling infrastructure: "We're coming out of Syria very soon. Let the other people take care of it now." Others like Russia perhaps?

...

Trump’s remarks about Syria are in line with what he said last month, at a press conference in Washington with Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull.

“We're there for one reason: to get ISIS and get rid of ISIS, and to go home,” the US president had said. “We’re not there for any other reason and we’ve largely accomplished our goal.”

This is great news for all the refugees that fled to Europe to get away from war and Isis. It will soon be safe for them to return to their homeland. That's what 'refugees' do, right? They seek a place of temporary refuge until it's safe to return from whence they came?

Oh, THEY are gonna take care of it alright. This sounds a lot like code for DAMASCUS AND ASSAD ARE TOAST. Remember the statement that one should not let the enemy know beforehand what your military moves are going to be?
I don't see a RED LINE fake out on this one.
