Why burn it when you don't even need to read it.

The question and answer is right on the cover.

Books don’t have bullets that rip into your flesh and splatter your brain against a wall.

But I thought words hurt people! I thought statues hurt people! How many have died from words, ideas, concepts?

Guns are just tools.

You sure you're not a book-burner?

Well if we are going to burn or ban books may as well start with this one.

We should wait until she finishes the trilogy.

lol. Yeah that is true. I was just recommending a book to be banned or burned, IF we are going to head down that road. Let me clarify again, just for silly, IF.

You didn't have to read them. I loved them too.
Originally started by reading book one to my son when he was too young to read it.
I got hooked. He didn't.

However, some books have instructions on how to build a bomb from common ingredients that will rip your flesh and splatter your brain against a wall.

How many folks think we should be able to have soldiers move in and take over our homes?

Maybe we should be tortured and forced to bear witness against ourselves.

Why do we need rights?
I dig you, you are my main ape! keep on keeping on

The 1st. Amendment is, just like the 2nd. Amendment. No "freedom" can be "banned", Constitutionaly. They can not be. But yet? "They" have actually, (by "law"),.. banned books in The U.S.A. But it seems to be now, the 1st Adm. Supporters,.. Believe/Think their "freedom" is somehow, "secured", by "words" and "enlightenment", and not by blood...

One of the greatest crimes to humanity was Adolf Hitler burning books, knowledge should never be destroyed whether it confirms or disproves your belief system.

Rationality is what makes a human being, although some people have an altered perception of what reality is it does not mean academics and the every day person looking to better oneself should be denied the educational properties the said object/speech/expression provides.

The fact that opinion can be considered hateful bewilders me and disgusts me.

I'm firmly satisfied with having the right to be offended, and I will never be in favor of revoking another persons right to offend me.

"The Anarchist's Cookbook" is a frequent target of censorship attempts. The way it usually works in public libraries is someone steals the books to keep them out of circulation, kind of a passive resistance approach.

And books can be shipped in the mail, so there's another reason to ban all mail.

I'm not following your logic on this, but, umm, okay.
