It almost seems like he pulled a bait-n-switch on his voters. Almost looks like he's in league with the left.

No one believed me when I said the neocons were still in control even with Trump as POTUS....remember.

I guess all the gloating "trump won, you lost, get over it" has come to an end?

Can you hear me now?

Trump is not God. If he is having trouble he needs to ask for help.

Does no one understand that if we dont actually fix the problem of DC corruption and unelected runaway government, that the people born to the living hell of governmental corruption in generations to come, will rip the country apart?

Our leaders just cant see beyond their own personal cave. They cast shadows on their own world by their delusional minds seeing enlightenment in the warm fire of slow self destruction.

An over population boom, the known environmental risks at critical mass, epidemic disease and mass starvation or anything else of similar scale will be UNSURVIVABLE under the current level of corruption by our broken government.

IMO, We need to fix this before any real problems show up.

Forget false flags, nukes or anything else we threaten each other with.

We are all small. We will all be made humble eventually.

What we suffer now, though less than a complete collapse would make us suffer, will prove to be more harmful and deemed worse in future judgement. The major difference will be that what we suffer now we do to ourselves.

Because we do it to ourselves we do not come together and help one another unless its to harm someone as a group.

If we all had a common enemy or faced a natural threat that we were all helpless to as a whole, then we would be more likely to come together and help each other survive while pursuing a non zero sum exchange.

The external war machine now and the internal hostilities our country has created will affect our ability to unite for common purposes in hard times.

The ones taking advantage need to stop or be stopped before we get hit with something "really bad" all by itself.

What ever that event will be next time...It always comes.

Sometimes people make those already challenging events much more difficult for everyone. Those type of people are currently in charge.

He's not the 'ask for help' kind of guy and all he needed to do was put his Donny Hancock on the spending bill, there's no one but him to blame on that.

...and the bill passed the Senate with 65 votes, short of a veto-proof number. If he had vetoed, then it's highly unlikely that more votes would be gained in a bid to overturn the veto... in fact, it's likely some Republicans would have fallen back into line.

I am still wondering WHY he did not veto the bill.

1) He just wanted the military spending
2) He got run over by political gameplaying
3) He was forced

#3 to me is, worryingly, most likely.

No doubt on that. This sucks.

Things can still work out. We just need to start accepting that Trump may not give us 8 years worth of good leadership.

We may not even get 4 years worth.

We should reserve some faith and not be quick to assume hopelessness about real progress. That would be absurd and contrary to the reality.

Its far from over.

Forced?

He's Donald J. Trump, Master of the Universe, he can't be forced to do anything.

The only thing that got resolved in this bill was more spending.

SOOOO, 640 million divided by 33 miles is roughly 19.4 million dollars per mile of fencing. Only in Washington could a fence cost 19.4 million dollars per mile. Eff this government and EFF Trump and all sides.

An Omnibus bill is not a budget. Therefore, according to the constitution, the President doesn't have to spend a dime on anything this spending bill suggests, veto or no veto. He could hold some of this money for pork projects hostage.

Congress plays chicken with the government shutdowns so they can pork up these omnibus spending bills. Its time to stop and actually pass a budget.

Its really a win for trump, he played them all, as this is not a budget and he has no obligation to spend as suggested in the bill. He can, like Obama use the money in any way he chooses or with hold money in any area he desires. Brilliant.

This OMNIBUS bill gives President Trump far more flexibility with how funds are used, than a BUDGET bill would have. OMNIBUS is the same tactic that President Obama used for delegating funds to projects that he held dear.

Or he was woefully ignorant and wasnt paying attention.

The issue here is this is a surprise to his voting base, but its NOT a surprise to those of us who were conservative and never supported him. We saw this sort of thing coming a mile off.

He did some great things in the beginning but Trump is always going to fall back on what he knows. And thats not so conservative.

Have some of us who ARE conservative that have been demonized by his voting block , got some of our credibility back ?

Really, interesting.......tell me does the CLOUD act give him flexibility too?

Can some of you for ONCE stop cheer leading and actually understand WTF just happened?

Stop making excuses! You once told those of us who didnt support trump and were conservative that you would be the FIRST to hold him accountable.

WELL!????!!!!

After looking at the comments made here the following can be stated:

First of all, this not all the Democrats fault. The republicans hold the majority in both the House and the Senate. Now while the Senate was along party lines, the House had far more Republicans voting in favor of this bill. Now looking at how the vote went it was this:
In the house in favor:
Republican: 145
Democrat: 111
In the House Nays:
Republican: 90
Democrats: 77

In the Senate in Favor:
Republicans: 25
Democrats: 38
Independents: 2

In the Senate Nays:
Republicans: 23
Democrats: 9

That should tell people TO STOP VOTING GOP!!!!!!!!!!!

We wanted someone independent minded like Cruz or Paul

they went GOP because that was the only way they could win.

They are the FEW that still vote conservative.....

WAKE UP PEOPLE stop voting party lines and start LOOKING at their background and voting history..

CHRIST its not that hard, it just takes some brain cells
