I think the tragedy of this happened before the killing of this poor girl. A broken family perhaps. A mentally ill child.
The gun is just an easy target.

This is not the first conversation on these boards about guns. Context is your friend...

And the poster's "context" is dead-on...so what's your point????

ETA...oh, that's right...you don't have one!

The gun is just a reaction. The real problem is addiction to video games. Spending hours, even days, playing a game is definitely insane. What's wrong with quietly setting in a chair reading a good book, maybe you;ll learn something. I'm beginning to think a world wide EMP taking down all consumer electronics really wouldn't be a bad thing.

Wouldn't be surprised if the kid told authorities just to hit reset on his sister to restart her.

Are you joking.
People are addicted to things all the time they don't kill people.

I actually think the poster is agreeing with you.

Perhaps re-read.

At least I'm not drawing comparisons to children in Afghanistan, it's little wonder you don't understand.

I was using hyperbole to counter his hyperbole... .

I rest my case.

You clearly are lacking in understanding what I have said; that, or you lack rudimentary reading comprehension.

I suggest you go back and actually "read" this thread.

Take care.

And one could probably say America is addicted to guns..not judging, just pointing out.

No...two stupids don't make a smart (your posts). You did nothing of the sort.

Is "hyperbole" your word of the week? Does it make you feel good using it?

What does anything you said have to do with a 9 year old shooting his sister for hogging the video game controller?

Talk about hyperbole...if you even knew what it meant! This thread is about the tragic murder of a 13 year old girl by her brother, who executed her with a gun, because she wouldn't let him play a video game. What did you think it was about....big words?

I'm a US citizen. I could care less about guns. I'm worried about how I can work and feed my family. It's amazing that you can make such a statement that we are all addicted to guns. Where do you get your news? There are about 325 million people in the US. Are you suggesting 325 million people are addicted to guns?

But you knew that, right?
