There are a lot of great people around here who I feel command a lot of respect, even when I don't agree with them. That doesn't mean they'd necessarily be suited to the job of being a mod, or that they'd want it, or that ATS needs any more mods.

My experience with having admin status on another board is that it can be extremely boring and can turn some people (like me) into a bit of a jerk sometimes. When it's your job to screen out the ignorant/inappropriate you can develop a hair trigger and an abbrasive presence. Some people carry it well, and others don't.

Far be it from me to assert any knowledge of who would make a good mod, but there are a few members who I see around regularly and consider part of a very small and elite cadre. Most of them were named in this thread at some point. In my own limited experience though, Pisky and Enron stand out head and shoulders above the rest.
But you can't make Pisky a mod unless he swears on pain of death to keep writing the ATS Story.

I always wanted to know what does on in cosmic...maybe one day i will find out, but its probably just general board business. Wonder if i have a thread about me in cosmic
