You may be right.
Permit me to at least hope you're not.

No one is ready for that. No one. Especially those who think they are.

Just to be clear I don't think it would be a full-fledged 1860s kind of civil war.

Eh, just pointing out the idiocy to make my point about how silly the idea of impeachment is at this time. It's sorta what I do. Let the man do something wrong first.

During the previous administrations there were so many fewer calls it was possible to ignore them, although Obama actually had some charges against him that made some sense. Not enough for an actual impeachment, IMO, but at least there was some substance.

So simple sometimes to get a rise out of people when they think its your beliefs. I honestly like how you picked apart that failed articles of impeachment as if it was something I believed in. I only posted because you said you had never seen one of these bills and I figured I could spare a few seconds of time googling it for you.

If people calling for Trumps impeachment is a shock to you and makes you suddenly and without question think less of people, how did you survive the Bush Obama or Clinton years?

The people who called for Bush and Obama's impeachment were loons. There were legitimate grounds for Clinton's impeachment. It was pretty well established that he had lied under oath and attempted to obstruct justice. I'm not sure I would go so far as to remove the President under the circumstances, but it certainly wasn't in the same boat as the calls for Bush and Obama to be impeached.

It should be noted that almost every Democrat voted against impeaching him, and almost every Republican voted for it. If it's found that Trump lied to investigators and obstructed justice, it should be interesting watching those roles completely reversed. It'll be even more entertaining watching the media try to figure out a way to call the Republicans hypocrites while pretending the Democrats were totally in the right in both cases.

If fighting broke out, it would be worse.

In the War of Northern Aggression, you knew who was on your side. If you lived in Mississippi, your neighbor was likely supporting the Confederacy like you were. If you lived in New York, your neighbor was likely supporting the Union like you were. If fighting breaks out this time, the division lines are nowhere near as clearly drawn. It would not be unusual to see fighting extending from a front line to a city, to suburbs, to neighborhoods. There would be little to no confidence that the guy walking down the road was not the 'enemy.'

That should scare any sane man.

Maxine is shocking.

Shockingly stupid.

But let's give mueller more time and money, he's got to find something eventually.

If full-scale fighting broke out, of course. I just don't think it would be that widespread. Luckily the militant, dangerous part of the left is a small minority. And let's be frank, most Americans simply have it too good to risk it all.

Thank you for reminding me about Clinton's impeachment. I typically consider that such a non-issue that I tend to forget about it. I never cared what he and Monica was doing where; I cared about how his actions affected my life. Yeah, he was dumb enough to lie under oath... and got his butt impeached over it. It still didn't remove him from office.

IMO, impeachment is reserved for actual heinously criminal actions, treasonous actions, or overt and uncontestable examples of blatant violation of Oath of Office. It should never be used for political agendas, which is exactly how it is being used against Trump. Those who would use it thusly are themselves unworthy of holding public office and deserve to be impeached and removed from office.

Anyone that "questions" why this clown got "fired". Needs to read the C.O.T.U.S. and get "educated". We are a "Republic" not a "demoracy". We have "laws" and "standards". The "majority" doesn't have a "say" in what our "laws" say or "mean". That was the intent of our C.O.T.U.S.! To protect the minority, from the majority of idiots. This McCabe douche bag, wanted to go "rogue" and help subvert the Republic. Disregarding his "oath". I don't understand why he ain't being held for "treason", against the "state",..The, "We the people". But then again, I get it. The "State" must survive. .. Can't have uncontrolled "law". People can't handle "truth" without "government". They need leadership and guidance. Lol!

Good! You shouldn't care about Stormy Daniels, ..issues, with/when that rears its ugly head. Men do dumb things. Women do dumb thing. That's part of being "human". So Trump won't be "judged" by you? Based on your "ability to over look Biil's indiscretions"? I'm glad you put that out there/here. We'll hold you to it.

Andrew McCabe will be Spending Time in a Federal Prison REAL Soon............

" Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker said today that a highly anticipated report from the DOJ's Inspector General Michael Horowitz will contain "some pure TNT." Horowitz has been investigating the conduct of the FBI's top brass surrounding the 2016 election for over a year. He also uncovered over 50,000 text messages between two anti-Trump / pro-Clinton FBI employees directly involved in the exoneration of Clinton and the counterintelligence operation launched against the Trump campaign. It is human nature to push the limits of possibility. As of right now, the liberal rioting is confined to the cities, but the lack of opposition in those cities may, I fear, embolden them.

I live in the backwoods. My shop itself is literally inside the mountain treeline; I like it that way. I have lived here, with the exception of an 11-year excursion trying to climb a corporate ladder, all my life. I know these people. They are tough, hardy, and proud of who they are. They are the salt of the earth: generous, kind, compassionate, and caring folk who just go about their daily lives as best they can. I am proud to count myself as one of them. But they aren't pushovers like city folk. Most would have absolutely no issue turning an attacker into a greasy pile of dog food if necessary. And almost everyone is armed, and armed well. I know many will accuse me of being some sort of Internet Billy-Bob Bad-Ass, but it's the truth.

I remember posting this some time back in a survival thread, where someone had the idea they would just live by stealing garden produce if they ever had to bug out to the country. If someone comes to my door hungry, they will be fed. Someone offering to do a few chores for food will likely leave with a bag full of produce and a belly filled to bursting. But someone taking from my garden will become fertilizer for that garden. Period. That attitude is antithetical to the city attitudes.

Should the violence now confined to the cities start to spread, it won't be a pretty sight.

I live in a rural area as well, and likely wouldn't see a whole lot of action here at first either. But as you say it's likely people would leave the cities in some capacity. Then the law of averages will start to play out.

Good! You shouldn't care about Stormy Daniels

You got it first try. Who cares.

I just heard Trump's attorneys are suing her for $20 million. Good luck; let me know what the outcome is. In the meantime, don't waste my relaxation time with it. Keep it off my TV.

I read part of the thread on here about it, just because I wasn't sure who Stormy Daniels was and why she was an issue. She's a porn actress. *shrug* Must be nice. Melania might have an issue with her, but I don't. I do have one word of advise to Trump: don't lie about it under oath.

I'm glad you put that out there/here. We'll hold you to it.

No problem. Feel free.

Roger That! Redneck. I was just trying to figure, how red, your neck was.... I'm tracking now. Forgive my ignorance. I stand corrected. And happy so! Trump should shoot straight and steal their thunder, right quick! Because they'll use his own hoarse to scat out from under him, to hang him. Libs will point all day long at others, but never look in the mirror. Billy Clinton had "issues". Trump will have "faults".

Laws apply to our law officers too. McCabe has been charged with having people change reports to suit his political ideology among other charges. Not bullying, but breaking the law and meeting consequences. And those consequences are jail! McCabe will be jailed! You will see that 100% guaranteed.

Funny how the "meaning" of words, mean nothing, without "authority". Kind of why the 2nd. Amendment is a "protected" right, and not a "given" right. Words don't mean Sh*t, without the ability to back them up.
"Laws" are just words. That's all they are. Until good people enforce them.
Why the libs think "more law" is the answer? No intelligent person will ever know. Even the scum of civilized society, ignore the "law". Why would intelligent, educated citizens, abide by it? Making more "criminals" by "law", ..doesn't seem logical. Unless "legal types" are itching to be judged harshly, for treason. Which I'm pretty sure is against the "law".

I was just trying to figure, how red, your neck was....

Red enough to qualify on 50% of Jeff Foxworthy's jokes.

Last time I mowed the grass, I found two cars and a tractor... my brother-in-law mowed his and found my truck!

But yeah, you're right about Trump vs. Clinton. I consider Trump a little smarter, though... he should be fine.
