This is very sad. In today's society, social media is entirely "controlling" our minds, thoughts, ideas, views of others and of ourselves. They seem to have created the "perfect image/world" of what life should really be like. Of what we should be. Everyone seems to be obsessed with what others are posting that they seem to forget the true reality; the world around them and the real issues we have present. People shouldn't be so focused on what others are doing, how others are living their lives. They should focus on themselves; becoming the best version of themselves they can be and trying to do something positive in life; maybe even something memorable. It's ok to browse and share ideas and be informed. But when it gets to the point where one is obsessing or trying to change their views/lifestyle to mimic someone else's...that's when there is an issue. Social media is a positive platform with great means of networking and socializing. But we must keep it positive so that it can have that same positive influence in our daily lives.

Yeah. Welcome to the future. Not exactly what you expected, huh?
