Illegal Aliens Get Taxpayer Dollars to Fight Deportation.

The City of Baltimore, will being paying the legal fees of Illegal Aliens who do NOT want to be sent back home.

Maryland’s largest city will hire immigration attorneys to help those facing removal. It’s important to note that Baltimore has the nation’s highest per capita homicide rate and has been coined the deadliest big city in the United States. Nevertheless, a city panel approved spending $200,000 this month to pay for lawyers to represent illegal aliens with deportation orders. Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh says that the goal is for everyone to get due process.

Unlike the criminal justice system, in immigration court, the government doesn’t offer free lawyers to those who can’t afford them. This means that illegal aliens who don’t have the money to pay for one must represent themselves in legal proceedings or rely on volunteer attorneys or paralegals provided by immigrant rights groups. This leaves many illegal aliens in removal proceedings without adequate legal representation.

The trend of using taxpayer dollars to assist illegal aliens in deportation proceedings started under the Obama administration.

I don't understand why someone who broke U.S. law by coming here illegally, should be given the opportunity to remain, let alone using tax-payer dollars to fight deportation. That's a slap in the face to the millions of immigrants who followed the rules to become U.S. citizens, IMO.

No it's a slap in the face to tax payers, it's no different to anything else in this system.

Reality is we are pitted against each other, we all have our moral boundaries and thats what is used against us.

Nothing will stop this is people like yourself pick a side and then fight for it, you ignore that this happens everyday at every level, when you find a cause you can get behind you go for it and feign moral outrage.

Until the day comes that you can see the forest for the trees this crap will continue....

Taxes are spent on a hell of a lot worse than this too...

As you don’t give enough of a toss to complain to your leadership about any of that crap, the Government will not give a toss what you think about this egregious spending either.

But people get all happy when their guy/gal wins the local election, only to find out that they're as full of sh!t as the one that was voted out of office.

The same thing happens here in the UK. To add insult to injury when they

win to be able to stay .... they then go on to sue for compensation for 'hurt

They also draw welfare benefits and attend public schools paid by taxpayers. Again, our representatives are not held accountable for allowing this to continue. This is just one of many issues that legal citizens should directly vote on in general elections. Our representatives are bought and paid for by too many special interest groups. Sometimes I wonder if we really need to spend millions of tax payers dollars to fund representative salaries when the people's voice can easily be tallied in the voting booth.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. So I have no issue with this. I have an issue if the court case takes over 30 seconds.
