Anyone else that reads the credits on movies and TV shows? Mostly TV. You get all you need from the opening credits from movies. TV shows have interesting happenings with closing credits. You see minor people raise themselves to writers, directors, etc. It's interesting. Andrew Prowse from Farscape comes to mind.

Reading credits can also show you why shows go in the direction they do. Does the creator remain an executive producer(EP) or become an executive consultant. Loses control of his show. Dexter comes to mind. The first 4 seasons were incredible. The last 4 were OK. Why? A couple of new EP's and all news writers.

I'm probably one of the few who knows who Al Smutko is without googling.
And Bobbin Bergstrom.

Anyone else care for these details or is it a weird thing?

I usually watch the credits just to find names I recognize.
I remember watch a star trek movie and Christian slater made a cameo. In the credits the casting directors last name was slater. Always made me wonder.

But honestly when I watch a movie or tv show I look for new faces that I can predict will have a great career. Some times I get it right.

I used to with Stargate. I remember quite a few episodes being written by the cast. I thought it was really cool to see the imaginations of the cast at work.

I was wondering if that was a common thing.

I shot 7 scenes for a movie with a drone 2-3 years back.
My credit says lead cameraman.
I thought perhaps the director did it as a favor for me.
I should send him an email and inquire

Damnit, I thought you were going to do our credit scores based off our post histories.

No, I don't read the credits much, used to back in the vcr days.

Wish I could ..... Sometimes when I think I recognise someone from before

they became famous ....

The credits move far to fast for me to be able to read them.
