In case some you UFO enthusiasts missed it, here's the clip of the interview. Tucker and Elizondo discuss the recently released "Gimbal" and "Go Fast" footage, that some sceptics believe are either glitches, birds or weather balloons. Some of the key points discussed in this interview were:

.....the DOD isn't taking this phenomena seriously enough
.....military pilots, with high security clearances and who are trained observers, are seeing things that they can not explain
.....there is video and radar data backing up the pilot's sightings
.....these "weather balloons" are maneuvering in ways no known aircraft can
.....these unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), have no exhaust "plume" and are moving at hypersonic speed, with no heat signatures, or sonic booms
.....these UAP's are in close proximity to our military aircraft and ships
.....the DOD needs to take this potential threat more seriously

Question: Could the reason for the DOD's lack of concern be, that they already know what these unidentified craft are?

Oh theyre plenty concerned but cannot say so publicly because that would acknowledge the reality of aliens, which of course, can never happen.

I'm glad Carlson weighed in on this. He's the best mainstream news guy out there imo. I think he's legit in wanting to
uncover the truth.

Your last question is a very interesting possibility that many of us would like a real answer to. The lack of documented hostility is worth noting.

Thanks for posting the interview.

Haha yeah tell him what we had to endure all the time and waved away as weather balloons and swamp gas, Luis you almost choked on that..

Great to mention the O Hare incident too, love it.
Only sad they didn't go further on that topic I really would want to hear what they know about it.

So actually we are just as far as we were before I think.

Or maybe not and he just said no acoustic signature and no sonic booms..

Does that mean those things are actually not there.?

glitches, birds or weather balloons.

You forgot the parallax effect-en.wikipedia.org...

This effect could easily debunk that video. The craft taking the video is not stationary so you can NOT judge how fast the unknown object is moving based on the illusional speed of the water underneath.

the DOD needs to take this potential threat more seriously

Why do humans live in such fear of things that they do not understand?

Could the reason for the DOD's lack of concern be, that they already know what these unidentified craft are?

Sure but that does not automatically mean that they are alien. More likely is that they are secret military craft.

You do realize, that when a military grade radar system "locks" on a target, the Target Data Receiver (TDR), automatically performs parallax correction. This is needed, so that a missile, or other weapon, can destroy the targeted object. The speeds that these objects travel, are based on data from these systems.

Sure...but think about it for a minute. How would the guidance system of a missle, that was launched from a plane or ship, be able to hit "pay dirt", if it didn't know the path and speed of it's target? That's why I laugh at these sceptics, who mention the "parallax effect" as a reason to dispute the speed of these "targeted" objects. Did you bother reading all the information in that Wikipedia link you posted?

This says that "the fire control system" or Target Data Receiver (TDR), compensates for parallex effects:

Artillery gunfire Because of the positioning of field or naval artillery guns, each one has a slightly different perspective of the target relative to the location of the fire-control system itself. Therefore, when aiming its guns at the target, the fire control system must compensate for parallax in order to assure that fire from each gun converges on the target.

en.wikipedia.org...

Information on a "fire control system":

A fire-control system is a number of components working together, usually a gun data computer, a director, and radar, which is designed to assist a weapon system in hitting its target. It performs the same task as a human gunner firing a weapon, but attempts to do so faster and more accurately.

Fire-control computers are not just useful for large cannons. They can be used to aim machine guns, small cannons, guided missiles, rifles, grenades, rockets—any kind of weapon that can have its launch or firing parameters varied. They are typically installed on ships, submarines, aircraft, tanks and even on some small arms

en.wikipedia.org...

A military radar system, like the AN/APG-77, which is installed in military aircraft, like the F-22 Raptor, incorporates a "moving target indicater (MTI)":

Moving target indication (MTI) is a mode of operation of a radar to discriminate a target against the clutter.[1] It describes a variety of techniques used to find moving objects, like an aircraft, and filter out unmoving ones, like hills or trees.

Modern radars generally perform all of these MTI techniques as part of a wider suite of signal processing being carried out by digital signal processors. MTI may be specialized in terms of the type of clutter and environment: airborne MTI (AMTI), ground MTI (GMTI), etc., or may be combined mode: stationary and moving target indication (SMTI).

en.wikipedia.org...

Military aircraft also utilize something called "Pulse-Doppler Radar" to help identify and target an object:

A pulse-Doppler radar is a radar system that determines the range to a target using pulse-timing techniques, and uses the Doppler effect of the returned signal to determine the target object's velocity.

As the ground moves at the same speed but opposite direction of the aircraft, Doppler techniques allow the ground return to be filtered out, revealing aircraft and vehicles. This gives pulse-Doppler radars "look-down/shoot-down" capability.

The Hughes AN/ASG-18 Fire Control System was a prototype airborne radar/combination system for the planned North American XF-108 Rapier interceptor aircraft for the United States Air Force, and later for the Lockheed YF-12. The US's first pulse-Doppler radar,[3] the system had look-down/shoot-down capability and could track one target at a time.

Pulse-Doppler provides an advantage when attempting to detect missiles and low observability aircraft flying near terrain, sea surface, and weather.

Pulse-Doppler signal processing also includes ambiguity resolution to identify true range and velocity.

You are right, sensors are not fooled by the parallax effect.
...But humans are.

The sensor data in the ATFLIR display can be used to make calculations and 3D reconstructions of the object’s trajectory and speed.
Every one of these calculations and reconstructions shows the object has the speed of a bird (approximately 50 knots) and its altitude is halfway between the jet and the sea, a normal altitude for many birds. Even its size matches that of a bird. These calculations and reconstructions match the hard sensor data, not the human visual perception.

Human visual perception, however, is easily fooled by the parallax effect. That’s where all the talk about a UFO flying very fast just above the water surface comes from.

The low temperature of the object can also be explained: A bird’s feathers are very good insulators and the surface of its feathers will probably take on the temperature of the surrounding air. On average, the air at 13.000 feet is about 25 degrees Celsius colder than the air at sea level.

I find it interesting that sceptics ignore the fact that a Navy cruisers radar, first spotted the object, back in 2004. A bird doesn't travel 80,000 ft. in the air and then suddenly drop to 20,000 ft.

An operations officer aboard the U.S.S. Princeton, a Navy cruiser, wanted to know if they were carrying weapons. “Well, we’ve got a real-world vector for you,” the radio operator said, according to Commander Fravor. For two weeks, the operator said, the Princeton had been tracking mysterious aircraft. The objects appeared suddenly at 80,000 feet, and then hurtled toward the sea, eventually stopping at 20,000 feet and hovering. Then they either dropped out of radar range or shot straight back up.

Secondly, a military radar CAN distinguish between a solid object and a bird.

Radar can distinguish one kind of target from another (such as a bird from an aircraft), and some systems are able to recognize specific classes of targets (for example, a commercial airliner as opposed to a military jet fighter). Target recognition is accomplished by measuring the size and speed of the target and by observing the target with high resolution in one or more dimensions. Propellers and jet engines modify the radar echo from aircraft and can assist in target recognition. The flapping of the wings of a bird in flight produces a characteristic modulation that can be used to recognize that a bird is present or even to distinguish one type of bird from another.

This is not about the Nimitz case, it’s about the ‘Go Fast’ video, announced on ttsa as:

GO FAST is an authentic DoD video that captures the high-speed flight of an unidentified aircraft at low altitude by a F/A-18 Super Hornet ATFLIR forward-looking infrared system.

Both the ‘high speed’ and the ‘low altitude’ are inconsistent with the data in the ATFLIR display.

If ttsa is really serious about studying UFO’s, they should put more brains on the analysis of their own videos.
