I guess the overwhelming majority of people are sleazeballs according to you.

Source

To be very clear, anyone who would cheat on their spouse is a sleazeball.

While I may not want such a person impeached for it, I certainly would have no personal dealings with them. I may deal with them on a business level, if being a cheater didn't make them a total letch.

That’s a bold statement if the statistics I posted are accurate. While I’m no fan of cheaters, most people have immediate family that would fall into this category. People aren’t perfect and make rash decisions sometimes.

I usually try to get my mind right around these moral arguments when it comes to "it's different when it's your team" issues, so help me out please.

When dealing with the Stormy-Gate:

Are Liberals more concerned about Trump cheating on his wife or about Trump consorting with prostitutes?
-Nobody wants to mention that a woman 40 years younger in the adult film industry is supposedly sleeping with a senior citizen millionaire for free

Are conservatives at all concerned with Trump consorting with prostitutes?
- As above, adding that the adult film industry (while legal) adds to the issue of human trafficking through the seedier underside of it's illegal aspects. Though not fair to tie them together (no pun intended) one can't help but see them in a similar light.

When dealing with the $130K payoff are people more mad at team Trump or more sorry for team Daniels?
-Blackmailing a billionaire for $130k is like blackmailing me for a nickel. I'd have a hard time not patting the person on the head and saying "there, there, just sign the papers pretty lady". Does she not know what zeroes are? Seriously. You have to ask yourself how much she was getting paid for her "rendezvous' if her blackmail amount was so low.

There is a reason I pretty much only interact with my sons, my wife, and my mother.

People aren't very good for the most part. And I end up hating them as their flaws begin to hang out for all to see.

Fair enough, to each his own I guess.

Why Would Stormy Daniels need to call herself a different name in a lawsuit? Why would she be used as a 'witness' to bring forth the case? Stephanie Gregory Clifford is Stormy Daniels who is Angel Ryan....hmm....none of this is odd to anyone yet THIS is what will bring down Trump.

The real question is...

What would conservatives, especially the religions amongst them do if this was Obama? Why aren't they doing the same for Trump?

That's Christians for you. Anything goes as long as it's a republican. LOL

In that case the majority of people would do what every politician does if they were offered the kind of money and security they are guaranteed for their bribes. Why hold it against them?

I think he'd get more male votes, look at her... she's a porn star.. who doesnt want a little thunder in their storm.

Thoughts?

As a happily married man, and as someone who values the salubrious condition of my genitals, I'm perfectly happy not having any thunder in my storm. (she's a porn star... that thunder more likely than not itches, burns, and stinks once it's made contact with a storm.)

That said, who cares what Trump did behind closed doors? To our knowledge, he isn't doing it on tax payer time or property, and we're talking about something that was legal and occurred over a decade before he was elected POTUS. There is no reason whatsoever for this to be anyone's business aside from him, Melania, and his whore.

Grown up?

LOL...again with feigning disgust.

Listen man...you made a post mocking people for their religious beliefs (or, at least hitting that nerve to make peoples knees jerk...religion cum politics is volatile stuff, man), and want to lecture me? My eyes cannot roll any harder.

But here's for acting like a grown up: you accuse the President of rape, i need to see some compelling evidence. Not something where someone was just wanting (and accepting) a payout.

How can you be outraged when all I did was mock the disgust you had over something that was not true?

I disagree only to the point that. He's the leader of our country. We expect him to have morals. If he cheats on his model beautiful wife with a porn star...It makes you wonder what other shady, unethical things hes' doing. Full disclosure, I think Bill Clinton was a scumbag too.

That seems to be a major part of the Midterm 2018 strategy. Taking a look at the news over the past year, if you don't join them in their manufactured disgust which is based on even less than what could be reasonably considered "faith based" rumors and conjecture, you are the worst person ever. We live in an age of coddling and appeasement in some folks' expectations, sadly.

Except he's never presented himself as a moral model whereas damn near every public figure which has openly marketed themselves as such has fallen HARD when they stumble and the truth comes out. Trump is what he is and he's never claimed to be anything but who he is. I really believe that's the main reason that he is so reviled and despised. Who in the history of politics, or entertainment for that matter, has been so immune to being forced into the loser's game of "I am so sorry, I have stumbled, I deserve your anger, etc." I'm sure this wasn't the first or, for that matter, the last whore Donald J Trump bedded... who cares? The tax cut has been fantastic, the economy has taken off, red tape has been cut, regulations have been leaned, maybe more presidents should have trysts with hookers and adult film actresses because it hasn't seemed to hurt the effectiveness of this presidency.
