Why would they do it? What would they gain? Why did they fail to actually carry out the assassination succesfully?

Now let me count the ways...

1. Putin gains as he is in an election at the moment. His narrative is everyone is against Russia because Russia is successful. The state controlled media can make even this sound good.
2. Russia have very few allies, so not many people to offend. Bolivia and Iran are friends, along with Syria.
3. A message is sent to anyone who Russia don't like, especially Russians. If you do something we don't like, we'll kill you. Of course we know Russia has been merrily killing journalists, environmentalists, anti-corruption activists and so on, but doing it outside their borders is a pretty big message.
4. A failed assassination. It happens.

Agreed with all that plus.

5. He was still involved in meetings with MI6 handlers for info - meeting very regulary at Zizzi
6. Rusia has by proxybeen murdering, issuing death threats and setting fire to newspapers and journalists in Eastern Europe-mainly Ukraine which is basically an unreported russian invasion warzone.
7. Putin has since stated he forgives some things but willnever forgive 'betrayal'
8. Putin jokes about people seeking poison Russia swallowing their ownhs poison and killing themselves.
9. 15 other deaths of Russians in similar cirumstances and linked to the recently assinated.
10. Russian state TV's blanket coverage, threats to UK
11. Evenb the only non-fully state controlled newspaper in Russia (still highly censored) says Putin should face attempted murder/murder charges.

12. If it wasn't for the onsanely fast emergency response they and more would be dead - the agent doesn't take long to kill, they're probably braindead on a respirator for life (i they llive)

ETA: Why do people think such as assasination is easy when they're under guard by various secret services and (seeminggly) had to resort to an agent so exotic it would untracable by all but the most specialised tests? - Seems obvious the poisoing came from home (in a letter/vase?)

Whilst we condemn Russia from one direction our kids go hungry from the other with very little notice.

All the lefties will have their panties in a twist over this.

Since when did everyone forget that the banking empires and Rothschilds want to control the financial markets of Russia?

Theresa May needs to put clear proof behind the allegations that Russia did this and the UK is asking for it not just Russia. This is why there is so much doubt flying around right now. If it is indeed Russia then the matter could be a very different one indeed.
