Nice to meet a fellow South African around here.

You too have valid points, however there are a few things to consider.

The leader of the EFF, that is Julius Malema is a product of the ANC. He was very close to our ex president Mr. Zuma. He only left after some arguments between them.
Many of his ideologies were learnt and formed during those years. Recently our new president has even asked him to "come back home to the ANC where he belongs"

You have to admit that this is at least some cause of concern for all South Africans. Unless you want to be living in a country that has a militant Mugabe supporter as its future president.

It's certainly time to punish South Africa for there racist behaviour

Blacks you constantly bang on about racism yet I haven't seen a single black person condemn what is happening in South Africa

Their answer is always well they stole it

No these people did not steel it, that was hundreds of years ago and your biased is horrendous

What would be a fair deal would be to take out the white people who are under attack due to the colour of the skin they was born with and send all you BLM hypocrites to South Africa as a strait swap

Then you haven't read through all the comments, or know who is black vs who isn't, and 100rds of yrs ago?? Naaw, think black spots under apartheid a generation ago, but I'll say it again, the current govt, is scapegoating white farmers for their short comings and lack of imagination on how to deal with the massive poverty among the majority of it's citizens.

Yes i agree.
Malema is a threat to society as a whole. Zuma should have sent him to Zim long ago. But our country is a #hole like trunp said, too much greed and corruption. Its sad to see our country in this mess. On top of that is the fact the media is playing everyone...but thats another story.
Safe...

I rejoined ATS to tell you my heart is with my British and and Afrikaner cousins in South Africa. This issue has been eating at me for years. It seems to have reached a boiling point. For #s sake get your families out of there if you can.

The leftist and black silence is sickening. I brought this issue up to my wife last night, because its eating me up inside. Her response, being a typical lefty hypocrite who lets the media think for her was "DONT you have any idea what they did during apartheid?" I was stunned. These are human beings. I am leaving my wife, moving out tomorrow. That was the last straw. Especially coming from someone from Wyoming, traditional Sioux territory, does that mean all whites in America should face genocide and torture as well? She honestly blew my #ing mind but sadly this is a very widespread thought process in this backwards world.

The past is #ed. And whites definitely #ed a lot of # up, on a massive industrial scale. Sadly. But we also brought progress and helped launch humanity into the space age. Its time to #ing move forward.

I pray for you all down there.. Please keep us posted

Yet as far as the S.A problem is concern, and I don't have any quick answer to fix this, but the White population owns 72% of the land, and the the majority population is in extremely bad shape.
The below have some interesting ideas but I don't know if it will satisfy all parties.
Why Land Seizure Is Back in News in South Africa
www.bloomberg.com...
.

Under the rule of European colonists, South Africa’s Natives Land Act of 1913 stripped most black people of their right to own property, a policy reinforced decades later by the National Party and its system of apartheid, or apartness. A government land audit released in February showed that farms and agricultural holdings comprise 97 percent of the 121.9 million hectares of the nation’s area, and that whites own 72 percent of the 37 million hectares held by individuals. This tallies with the results of a separate audit released Nov. 1 by Agri Development Solutions and farm lobby group AGRI SA, which found non-whites own 27 percent of the nation’s farmland compared with 14 percent in 1994.

First much of the population were removed off their land, then they are being asked to pay if they want some of it back.
One more thing the 1st nation populations were decimated throughout the Americas so there is no going back, hell even in the most liberal of nations the USA, they can't even stop a pipe line from being built on lands granted them by treaty.

You always hype on about the same statistics, you and others that share your skewed view, that aren't supported by any available data.

The notion that whites own 79% (or whatever) was circulated by Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) but its based on statistics taken 1999 and as early as 2013. And its completely BS.

The 79/80 % percent is "privately owned land" which includes companies, trusts, individuals, etc. and includes owned by blacks, whites, indians, etc. You can check it out yourself.

Furthermore, its further skewed by the following facts - as you might know lots of land during and after Apartheid was deemed "native land" such as Lesotho, Zululand, etc. This means only persons belonging to a specific tribe can own land. In Zululand you can only rent land, for upwards to a 100 years but its owned by "natives". Zululand alone takes up half of Kwazulu Natal alone.

So when you start citing statictics I would recommend some caution as you don't know what they're based on or what factors were taken into consideration when they were compiled. Also, considering the political climate all kinds of BS will be distributed to serve the agendas of those in power.

You are sowing disinformation.

Oh, and do you logically think that 40,000 families own the whole of South Africa (a total population of +/- 60 million)? Sounds a little insane. Banks probably own all that land not individual whites.

All things aside - maybe ask yourself who benefits from land redistribution? If you look at what happened in Zimbabwe it was Mugabe and his henchmen.

Just trying to say think about it logically. There are more reasons to be skeptical than not. Take into consideration that the African National Congress has been in power since 1994 (24 years) and for the first time their political opponents might win the election or at least take more power in parliament as voters have become distrustful of the party after Zuma.

Dont for an instant concur with the proposal.

The failure of the balck leadership to finance and ensure basic services such as a food, water and health care will kill large numbers of human beings in South Africa wether they be black or white and either way this is bad.

IMO a better proposal would be to insert a specialist workforce together, with appropriate protection, into South Afrcia and put these services into place with or without the blessing or premission of the South Afriacn regieme so that mass social breakdown and civil war does not take place.
