The jokes definitely don't tend to be in the lefts favor in this stretch of the decade.

Yep like sucking on the government teet.

That’s udderly preposterous!

Feeding time is bonding time. Has nothing to do with prudishness.

Would she change his diaper while doing her spot? Or stop for a moment to tend to her child?

Changing a nappy isn't the same as breastfeeding.

Why does bonding time need to be in private?

Because when you are breast feeding a baby, the baby is staring at you. Studying your face. Longing for your gaze to be returned. Learning a lot about interaction, and imprinting psychologically.

Just like strip clubs.

For thousands of years women have just popped them out to feed their young no matter where and in many places they still do.
As you know years ago there was a push over here to say it is normal and natural and we saw women do it more, no one is fussed about it now.
I don't see the fuss tbh it tastes horrid.

Bowel movements are also normal and natural.

I just don't think it's appropriate to do one while filming a campaign ad.

It's cliché, staged, and does nothing to address issues pertinent to the electorate.

Bowel movement not same as breastfeeding.

They are both natural body functions.

Do you go into a private room when you eat or drink?

I only do those things in front of a camera in a studio pushing agendas.

Admit it, if Trump filmed an ad while on the toilet, talking about "draining the swamp", you'd applaud. Heck, even I would think that was awesome.

I'd just say that he was full of s##t.

But he wouldn't be by the end of the commercial.

As I said before it's no different than any of the other happy family adverts that male politicians have used for decades.

The issue is some people's reaction to breastfeeding in public.

Nope.

You're conflating the two.

Breast feeding is a natural thing.

Breast feeding during a campaign commercial is contrived and staged.

Explain how it is more staged than any other family activity?

Well, normally there is no script, camera men, directors, cameras, sound mixers, stage hands when a woman breast feeds.

That wasn't the question.

Every president since Clinton has used there children during campaigns. It's routine for politicians at all levels.

The issue here seems to be the breastfeeding. Moat of the replies on this thread have been about doing it in public, not using a child in a campaign ad.

Those things also aren't usually present when a dad is throwing a baseball around with his son. Yet we see this activity all the time in campaign ads. How is this any different than that?

And there's no third party throwing millions of dollars to make video ads of it.

Im a father of 2 grown men. My wife breast fed.

She didn't "have to go hide herself away". She excused herself to go and tend to her children in private. I typically would not be present for the first several months, as it was all about the comfort of mom.

There is psychology that supports this. I just don't have time to go look it up.

Those judgemental assholes you reference do have a right to an opinion. And when you decide to post up in front of a camera for it....

Were we talking about a lady sitting in the park it'd be one thing. But this is someone on TV doing something provocative. Why did she do it? Hungry babies? The filming didn't stop at all that day?

Would you have an issue with the ad if the candidate was male and it showed him spending time at the beach with his family with his shirt off?

To get elected based off nothing substantial.

It isn't.

It's why I penned a post saying all politicians do it and it's an insult to our intelligence when they do.

What image is he trying to project?

To me, it says more about what his worldview is than anything else. That is the kind of dude i'd expect to be grabbing every ass he can find.
