Yes Kim Jong-Un, is the leader of North Korea.

However, if you look into the past, meeting with the President of the USA has always been a very large step for most countries leaders. It sends messages, both spoken and unspoken, opens doors and ultimately is usually good for that country.

My two cents

Denuclearization will not happen. North Korea uses its missiles as pride and most importantly to keep from becoming the next Iraq, or the next Libya, or the next Afghanistan. Basically the next nukeless country the United States wants for Christmas.

The only positive thing that I see that could happen is a halt to the program. But obviously North Korea will want something in return and they will eventually restart the program.

Also I think Trump was way too eager to accept at such a early stage. To the point that the White House had to play it down a bit the next day. It's like how people will be extremely excited about something that might happen, such as getting a new job, and talk and post about it a lot but then you never hear them talk about it anymore.

That's how I'm looking at it.

The only way the issues are solved permanently is with reunification. A modern first world economy will have to absorb what is, for all intents, a 19th century, even feudal, society. They'll need help. Lots of it.

Talking is much better than shooting.

If it's gaming to gain time, that'll become fairly obvious early on. Maybe Kim III is realizing he might just start getting hungry soon.
