Looks like South Korea has successfully arranged a "meeting" for North Korea's Kim Jong Un and President Trump.

Perhaps those sanctions have woke-up Un into seeing things differently.

The "Meeting" is supposed to happen soon, like in a couple months !!

How things have changed all-of-a-sudden eh.

I wonder what made Kim "wake up" ? 😄

Trump agrees to meet with North Korea's Kim Jong Un, South Korea says

WASHINGTON — President Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un by May for high-level talks over the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, a South Korean official said outside the White House Thursday.

The extraordinary and unexpected opening came through shuttle diplomacy by a South Korean delegation arriving in Washington Thursday.Trump heralded the development as a "major announcement" after speaking with the South Korean president.

Kim has agreed to a suspend missile tests while the talks go on, and there was no insistence that the United States and South Korea suspend joint military exercises.

I still think this is just part of NK's strategy of stalling for time until they finish their missile program. They know we were close to a pre-emptive strike. They're playing us.

Thanks for posting this, very formal and well done.

This is a very great thing and major progress moving forward.

All done in a Trump era.

This is crazy. Frankly, I never thought I'd see the day. Let's hope Trump can convince Dear Leader to liberate his people from the clutches of socialism.

Probably, but whats the overall point?

We could, at our finest, when emotionally charged and motivated, activate the absolute power of the US War Machine to such a degree that NK would cease to exist and no ally of theirs would be willingly to endure such wrath and fury either.

We have to take this leap and see where we land.

I tend to agree, but I also think Trump got to some insiders in NK.

Possible "threats" to destroy the whole nuke program up there.

I hope this is a genuine olive branch by Kimmie, and tides are changing a bit.

But my gut says this is just a chess move for something else going on and its not going to be good.

Once they have a credible deterrent we won't do anything. That's where they're trying to get. Pretty much all the analysts say they're right there. This is their last play to stall us from hitting them before they reach the finish line.

Thank you for this well-done OP.

This could be a historic meeting! It's amazing that Trump was able to pressure Un to this meeting, and in the first year of his presidency.

Maybe Kim Jong Un is finally realizing that rushing to nuclear power is not such a great thing, after the rumored nuclear accidents in their country. Perhaps Un feels like he could get something out of the deal. I think Trump might be good enough at this to make Un feel like he is getting a good deal, while still making sure that the rest of the world gets what we need, and not empty promises.

There is hope for peace, after so many said that Trump would lead us to war!

That is what anti-Trumpers fear the most- the President's success.

lmao

ISIS on the run, NK at the table, EVERYONE vying for trade waivers from the new tariffs...all in the first year of office.

Sadly I suspect if given the choice between letting that wacko in NK have the means to destroy American cities and having to give Trump credit for denuclearization, many of the would prefer the former.

TPTB won't accept a nuclear armed NK.

This is why we must take this leap and see where we land.

Even if such plans were laid out, perhaps the meeting, in itself, will prove pivotal. Something that could appeal. Whatever the case, we have to accept this as our best shot of working something out.

That's credible. They could also be hungry.

To that, I hope there is a certain amount of expedience in play here.

I'm not saying don't pursue the meeting, I'm just saying I doubt it will go anywhere. I don't think Kim has any intention of giving up his nuclear missile program, no matter what he's offered. He will either back out and blame us for being inflexible on the details of the meeting, or he'll go and make a bunch of promises that he won't follow through on. I find the former more likely. I think he's too much of a pussy to leave NK.

He did get one thing wrong. He said he'd do so much winning we'd all be sick of all the winning.
WRONG!
Not sick of it!

Maybe thats it though, him being too much of a pussy to leave NK.

Remember reading about that security pact? Maybe it was intended to keep his family in power, dismantle the reactors and cut deals with the US for trade and investment.

Perhaps part of the deal is to continue the play of rhetoric, that way, Kim gets what he wants and bragging rights to his own people, we get what we want and re elect Trump for making the world a better place.

As a matter of fact, he should get a noble piece prize for this.

More folk are starting to see that President Trump is much more than the deep state smear as puppeted by the corrupted MSM via disingenuous talking points. Meanwhile the permanently deranged will resort to just about anything to avoid recognizing his accomplishments.

It's nice to finally have a President that loves America.
