We're supposed to have a Chinese space station coming down pretty quick, why doesn't the US go up there and blast it into smaller pieces so it doesn't hit someone's house. www.theguardian.com...

I wonder if my house insurance will pay for damage a chunk will cause if it crashes through my roof?

Lots more pieces, lots more houses hit.

Space command needs something to actually command.

I say we should build orbital carriers. /battlestars.

Space based /low orbit carriers for scramjets, high altitude drops for conventional aircraft, and all possible missile launch capabilities.

Give it a "brilliant stars /Rods from God" type orbital bombardment capability.

I would also push for ballistic missile interception capabilities. Use a laser based AEgis system. The aim would be to destroy enemy missiles inflight before they deploy their warheads with a highly mobile laser platform that is not affected by weather or angle of attack.

I think there already a significant human presence in Space. Just a hunch.

Or at least a more than significant defense hardware presence in space.

I would say way more than just a hunch if you believe some of the stuff you read on places like here.
