So your 401k is slanted weighted toward bonds? You might want to think about that, and what Trump's trade war might do to inflation and thus, interest rates. In general, increasing interest rates are not that good for bond yields.

It would depend on if the elected official really wanted to make America the greatest nation on earth. If not. Then no. If yes, then sure. If he is going to make America great? Then by all means let him have at it. I don't believe we will ever find the perfect individual for that spot though. So my last answer is no.

There is a certain charm to the idea of having one official to follow, one tribal leader. That notion has been dressed up in gold and saphire and rubies and robes and devotion for most of our history. But as you say, right now, there are none on the horizon.
