Most of what we see doesn't represent society. We see a meme and assume it represents a large % of society and it could represent a handful of people, but the internet makes it seem much bigger. When we look at the statement of gun to God in schools, there is a lot of "God" there but it is not an internet in your face 24/7 that the anti-religion seems to be constantly pushing some school agenda.
