Do you actually believe it? Do you really believe Leftists hate you over such a silly thing?

Of course, because it's true.

Some leftist gave me the finger once on the Garden State Parkway. How do I know they were a leftist? They were driving a Prius. No self-respecting, non-cuck, anti-snowflake Murican would ever be caught dead driving one of those things.

Now if it were a dualie rolling coal I would have then believed it was a righty that hated me for their crap driving skills.

You probably deserved it and this shows how ignorant you are. I am a Leftist, but my Prius still has 35" mudders on it and it runs off of the tears of clubbed baby seals.

God you are so uninformed...

"The opposite of compromise is character."
-Frederick Douglass

Does this mean you dislike peacemakers? Do you find them weak and lacking character?

What is your version of peace?

If your peace only comes through compelling everyone around you to live as you would have them live, it's not truly peace but tyranny and you'll always live in fear of those who only comply through force.

My 'version" of peace? Does peace have "versions", or does the (powerful word) speak for itself?

I think you are rather referring to "freedoms' in your second sentence, rather than peace. I agree. I don't want to be forced to do anything, or forced to adhere to other people's beliefs.

Sounds dead accurate to me DBC

Glad to see someone framing the socialist's intent in such clear terms.

Their hatred is clear. However, I reckon the feeling is mutual.

But ya know, JB, our constitution sort of provides for that; pursuit of happiness, and all that. I think all the 'forcing' is mostly just talk. We still have our rights.

It absolutely has "versions," in everything from methods to achieve it to the end result.

To some, peace means something as extreme as the end to all competition. To others it means everyone in a society holding the same opinions on anyvand all topics. Yet, to some, it means "live and let live."

The conflation between the viewpoints is just as problematic. Nearly all will think they advocate for "live and let live," but will act in direct opposition to the claimed ethos.

Things aren't simple simply because we want them to be, or because we believe it to be so. That disregards the true diversity and extensive variety in our species. Its easy to think that what appears obvious to us individually must naturally be obvious to everyone, and if it isn't, its because those folks are "insert derogatory statement here." But, the reality is that the true diversity present in our race is genuinely and completely beyond any individuals comprehension.

The left has been programmed to essentially break from reality. Because this is happening en masse, the reinforcement of a large social group precludes anything else from happening.

Not all of us have succumbed, but plenty have. If anyone finds themselves agreeing with massive groups of people on every single topic, you might be more conditioned than you think.

I think the key to "peace," as I see it, is the ability to not only embrace the variety inherent in being human, rather than eradicate it under the guise of diversity. Once we can not only work with others that have a vast range of opinion, but work without constant conversion attempts towards an ever-advancing future, we will start to realize our potential as a species.

We only need to agree on a couple fundamentals: we are in this together and due to a total and distinct lack of omniscience, just because someone sees something differently, no matter how obvious it seems, doesn't mean they are "wrong." That very diversity is the only way to mitigate our limitations in any real, meaningful sense.

Signed,
A "leftist" that holds much, much more extreme views than most. One that recognizes "ideals" are something to work towards, frequently with compromise, not force because we believe it to be righteous.

I disagree. Sure there are some on the left that just hate you, hate me, hate everything. But I consider myself an independent, I believe in the right to own guns for self defense. I teach self defense. But I don't like the NRA. I realize that an organization lobbying for gun rights isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the NRA comes across as insensitive and out of line. If we consider that the NRA really isn't about lobbying for our rights for guns as much as it is lobbying for the gun industry...meaning all they care about is selling guns. The NRA only cares about money.

Maybe we could come up with a different organization. One that is only focused on the right to bear arms and the constitution.

Hitler hated the Jews.
He also wanted to disarm them...

Disarmament of the German Jews

The Disarmament of the German Jews started in 1933, initially limited to local areas. A major target was Berlin, where large-scale raids in search for weaponry took place.

Starting in 1936, the Gestapo prohibited German police offices from giving firearms licenses to Jews.[1] In November 1938, the „Verordnung gegen den Waffenbesitz der Juden“ prohibited the possession of Firearms and bladed weapons by Jews.

en.wikipedia.org...

...of course, after he disarmed the Jews...he had them all rounded up and gassed.

He also stocked up fear and hatred by demonising groups in society, particularly the left.

Seem familiar?

So you're excusing/ignoring Hitler's very real policy of disarming the Jews?

Mmm...ok.

FYI: Granola, every morning, is great for colon health.

How was I ignoring or excusing anything? Are you familiar with what the word 'also' means?

The left is antithetical to what America is about - the right of the individual. They place their value on group to the exclusion of the individual. If 1 person had to suffer that's ok in their book, something more important was done. This is the same thinking as Communist Russia or Nazi Germany - a few million had to die for the betterment of the rest of them.

The Constitution states that we are each a creation of the divine and as such given free will to choose. Free will, free thought, free speech. How much does the left support any of those ideals? Only when it suits their agenda but never in general principle for everyone at all times. To them there is always the exception and that is the problem, they believe rights are conditional.
