really small down there is the throne the pope sits upon, but the sculpture behind is aweful.....it's not art! IMO

I'm thinking not to put up a bigger pic shot of that throne......I have one with the pope and all the dudes in purple and scarlet....hey, that's in Scripture.....let me go get a verse number for us to discuss....stand by one!!

Yeah that “sculpture” backdrop is pretty creepy. I saw it on FB and supposedly it’s supposed to be “Jesus” but I’m not buying it. It looks downright insidious .

I was in the plaza about 2 years ago and never saw this building or structure - is it outside? Is the lense some sort of "fish-eye" thing? Thanks.

New? I guess considering how old the rest of St. Peter's square is, 47 years old could be considered new. IT was completed in 1971.

Yeah, I found the visitor hall. This is a very distorted photo. I think you should check out some actual pictures of the interior. None of the roof converges like your posted photo shows, and the Windows or "eyes" are actually on side walls. The "fangs" are actually pilliars.

Yes it is a fish-eye thing. The windows are really on opposite parallel walls. Technically not photoshopped but might as well be.

I remember years ago seeing the pope wearing a robe decorated with pictures of alien birth. It was obvious too.
